Alex's POV
"What do people usually wear to indoor dates?" I asked Zoe over the phone.
"Lingerie." She chuckled.
"Oh my god, this is not funny, the uber'll be here in 5 minutes." I yelled.
"Okay okay, don't blow out my eardrums." She said, "You know that top I bought for you on your birthday? The one you said you'll never wear?"
"The sleeveless one?" I asked as I ransacked my closet.
It was a black chiffon top with spaghetti straps but I couldn't wear a bra under it so I never wore it.
"Yeah that one and those shorts, the one that are short but not too short that people see your buttcheeks?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Wear that and a jacket cus it's hella cold outside, bye." She said then hung up.
While I was looking for a jacket to wear, I got a notification that the driver had pulled up so I grabbed whatever and high-tailed it out of there.
I got to his house, I'm glad my driver wasn't the talkative type cus
Monday Cole's POV "Now I have noticed some bad blood in this crew and I am here to fish it the fuck out." Coach announced. "I don't think you're supposed to cuss coach." Noah yelled. "Shut the fuck up Noah." I shoved him. "Thank you Cole." He pointed at me, "Back to what I was saying, Cole spot Asher and vice versa, don't let some girl come between y'all. Now start." "Tch." I walked up to Asher, "Let's go." We went to do barbell squats and I stood behind him while Chris was doing squats next to him. "Hey, how'd your date go?" Chris asked. "It was okay." He shrugged. "What do you mean 'okay'? Details man." Chris pushed. "We watched a show then ate popcorn, watched a movie, talked about my ex." He said indifferently. "Your ex? Who was she?" I asked. "Why do you care Cole?" Noah chimed. "No reason, no reason at all." I rolled my eyes. "Hey, why you being such a dick t
"Break up with Asher before the 4 week limit is up." He said, his tone sounding more intimidating than during breakfast."Why should I do that?" I asked, trying to use the same tone he used but it didn't work because I didn't have the type of voice that reverberated in peoples ears."You should know better than to answer me with a question." He stared at me, his dark green eyes piercing into my soul.I gulped, "We agreed on 4 weeks and I'm gonna stick with that until the end."He shifted in his chair, "I know you've already heard about him coming to live here." He paused, "How do you suppose that would work?""Have you never heard of a long distance relationship?" I asked rudely. He slammed his fist on the table, "Watch your mouth girl." He yelled with rage gleaming in his eyes, he stood up and walked to me, "I know your type, what do you want? Money? Fa-""I don't want anything." I interrupted, "I'm only doing this because Ashe
ThursdayAlex's POVI've been hanging out with Asher a lot lately, Cole doesn't even talk to me anymore and Zoe isn't really helping me much because Chris is kinda on Cole's side and since she's his girlfriend, she's on his side. I can't look Asher in the eyes and when he tries to touch me, I immediately pull back, he must think I'm weid considering I've been to his house 3 times this week and I'm currently there right now.*texting Zoe*Zoe: have you guys had sex yet?Me: No and we're not gonna.Zoe: boriiinnngg, how about this, you know blinfolding isn't all about sex, try it out.Me: anything you and Chris do, always has something to do with sex.Zoe: I'm serious, it can also be about just feeling that your partner is there with you and you're giving your body over to him, it builds this sense of trust between you.Me: I'll just ask Cole when we get toget
*flashback starts* Asher's POV While we were eating breakfast, Alex seemed to be feeling a little down and I was worried, "Are you okay?" She sighed but didn't respond, almost as if she was lost in thought. She continued sighing until it became annoying to bear, "Hey." I yelled, snapping her out of it. "What? Sorry I didn't hear you." She said. "You've been sighing nonstop, what's wrong?" "Cole hasn't talked to me since we started going out and it hurts not being able to speak with him, he won't even look at me." She sniffled. It didn't like that she wanted to him to be close to him but it's my fault so I have to help. "Okay look, crying won't solve anything, let's just come up with something." We sat there brainstorming but nothing came to mind. Alex finally spoke up, "All we know is that he hates you." Upon hearing that, a bulb lit in my head, "What if he thinks that we're fighting?" "
Asher's POVFor some reason, anytime I ask Alex out, she says no, she turns the other way when she sees me in the hallway. I don't know why she's so blatantly avoiding me when she can just tell me. I finally cornered her on the way to the field, I placed both hands on either side of her, trapping her in front of me."W-what are you doing?" She asked, not looking me in the eyes."Why've you been avoiding me?""I-I haven't been avoiding you." She blinked repeatdly in a fast pace."Why are you lying to me?" I sighed, "Look, whatever it is, you can tell me, okay? I lo-"She slapped both hands over my mouth, "D-don't say that." She said.I felt her hands trembling over my lips, I took them off and held it in mine, "Okay, I won't."She shook my hand off and ran away, I thought to go after her but I was still in shock. The tiny moment when she turned to run away, I saw her face, she was all red, from her cheeks to her ears, even her f
Alex's POV When I woke up, Asher had already left. I stood up and went to brush and take a bath, it's been so long since I took a relaxing bath. While I was dressing up, I saw my phone light up at the corner of my eyes, I went to get it, thinking it was from Cole and I noticed a piece of paper under it with Asher's name scribbled across it. "I guess he wrote me a note before he left." I whispered. I opened the note and it read: I think we should end this. The first sentence hit me like a train, I assumed that I'd be the one doing the breaking up so I didn't prepare myself for the possibility that he might do it. It's not about the cheating, it's just that I always had hope, you know, that you'd eventually fall for me but after last night, I realized that it was all just in my head... and I know you told me that this was only for fun, I knew that but I just wanted you and honestly, I didn't care how I got you and that was s
Alex's POV When I got home, my brother was in his room, visiting hours at the hospital ends at 9:30 so I got home pretty late. I walked in and saw droplets of blood on the floor that led me to the kitchen and the living room. "Let's play it out." I said, "Asher walks in, drops his keys on the table, then they go into living room to 'talk' then he punches him a lot, Asher passes out, Logan leaves to talk to Cole and during that time, Asher stands up, walke into the kitche, takes his keys and leaves." "Damn, you should be a detective." I looked around the room to see my brother standing in front of the stairs, arms crossed. "Cole was right. You are right, he probably left after I did. Normally anyone would pass out the first time I hit them but he didn't, even after I tackled him, he still managed to get up." he chuckled, "He's getting on my last fucking nerves." he said with a twisted smile on his face. "Leave him alone." I barked, "Haven't you
I was so shocked that I yelled his name. When his eyes met Cole's, he had an angry look plastered across his usually expressionless face. I glanced over at Cole to see if he was as surprised as I was but instead he had a devilish grin on his face. He knew, he knew that Asher worked here, that's why he brought me here. I should've known something was wrong when he suggested we dined at a fancy restaurant like this. My blood began to boil as I realized that this wasn't a 'date' date, this was a 'make Asher jealous by going out with Alex to his workplace' date."Let's move to a table outside." I said, not meeting his eyes because he would surely convince me to stay, and I would give in."But Alex I-""I'll have a table ready for you in a minute." Asher said before leaving."Hey." He called, but I didn't answer. "Alex." I wish he'd get that I was angry.I heard indistinctive whispers coming from outside the door then someone other than Asher came in an
