Chapter 723 Her Once Brilliant Life Had Been Completely Shattered

Joseph fixed his gaze on the TV screen. Something then flickered through his mind. But before he could fully grasp the thought, Harold's voice interrupted him.

"This is impossible. I distinctly overheard Xavia talking about sleeping with another man."

Joseph's emotions quickly settled. Besides being slightly shocked by Xavia's cunning and decadence, he did not feel much else about the matter. "Jas is my child. That’s the only thing that matters."

Harold was quite puzzled, but it was still good news. The little boy seemed intelligent and worthy of carrying on the Whitman lineage.

"Have you had any conflicts with Duskfall in recent years?"

"Hardly.”

After a pause, Harold asked tentatively, "And your mother..."

Joseph toyed with a flower on the nightstand, his fingertips tracing its delicate petals. His face had a deep and charming expression as he said, "There are some leads."

Harold was stunned, and he struggled to sit up. He murmured, "She really is alive."
