Chapter 1000 Find a New Husband for Chloe

Bethany froze and her sobbing abruptly ceased. She stared at Joseph in disbelief, unable to utter a word. She could not believe that he was sending her away because of Chloe. It was as if Chloe had bewitched him the moment he saw her.

Joseph could sense Bethany’s emotions through her gaze but felt that he had done nothing wrong. He flagged down a cab and pushed her into it.

There was nothing Bethany could do other than be ushered into the cab like a puppet. She stared at Chloe, who appeared indifferent, and a touch of resentment flitted through her eyes.

After Bethany was sent away, Jasper came out. Chloe smiled and grabbed his hand. "Let's go, I bought you some delicious food. We can have it in the car."

"Thanks, Mom. Are you done with all your work?" Jasper asked. He was looking at only her, completely ignoring Joseph’s presence.

Joseph did not get angry. He stared at Chloe deeply as if seeking approval. He felt that he had handled the situation well, but it seemed to him tha
