“Your first duty is to your people and not your girlfriend! Understand that she is important buy you have priorities!” Laura said to him

“She is right, Jared” Xavier spoke up as he walked into the living room. “Go with Lilith. You were friends. I can stay here and watch over Alice while you’re away” he said

Jared looked at him and he nodded. He picked up his jacket and was about to head out when Laura stopped him

“Before you go, I need something from you” she said

“And where did you run off to?” she asked
