The mate

Henry had difficulties moving due to his injury, his omega aura not being strong enough to heal him fast. He hissed and huffed whenever he needed to straighten up. So, I tried to help him a little and did most of his work for him. That did not go undetected. A whip hit my back when one of the guards concluded that I wasn't fulfilling my tasks, rather than the tasks of others.

Not a single syllable escaped me when the skin broke under the whip. It stung but I was used to much worse pain.

"You. Hey you." A werewolf with a bald head whispered at me when the guards left for a lunch break and we were alone. "If you want to survive, you better mind your own business. It's not wise to meddle in another wolf's problems." His chin pointed at Henry who was sitting on the ground, pressing his hand on the wound and resting.
