Darkness

Iris's POV

Darkness; that was all I saw and remembered, a ray of light suddenly shone through the darkness and illuminated the entire place, it was empty of void of anything. I called out but got no response, instead; my voice echoed, which stunned me, it felt a bit different and weird, but a force coursed through me and I gasped thereby opening my eyes. I shut my eyes almost immediately as the light invading my retina was blinding.

I stood still with my eyes shut for half a minute before I opened them slowly once more, everything was fuzzy and still not clear, and I blinked severally trying to adjust to the intensity of light my eyes were being exposed to. I felt light-headed and weak, I wanted to speak, but my throat felt parched, so I kept mute.

My hands roamed freely, and I tried to feel the nearest object beside me to give me a clue of my environment, I felt a soft fabric which signifies that I was on a bed. My butt felt soft, and my body didn't ache, I let out a sigh of relief a
