A New Friend

Iris' POV

I wondered who that was as I walked through the hallway, going to the sitting room where my stepmother told me my visitor was waiting.

She refused to reveal who it was, insisting that the man still wanted to remain anonymous.

Her expression was still visible in my head, and I couldn't just imagine who was there. I began to hope that it shouldn't be Arthur because how then was I going to face him. I felt nothing but hate at this time, and seeing him could only bring out my dark side.

“Could it be Kelvin?” The thought faded when I thought of what happened. He didn't even come back like he had promised, which made me sad, but then, I learned to live without them.

As I walked into the sitting room of the mansion, my legs froze, and my eyes darted around as I thought about what was happening. I couldn't just believe what was happening now. It was like things were falling apart, and I didn't know in my body.

“Kelvin?” I called in disbelief before my face suddenly turned dark. I f
