Esma’s pov

“Quick.” I ordered August while I jumped down the stairs of the house to the basement. We were approximately ten minutes away from that room they held me captive.

“Asher?” I called out his name in the mind link. He responded in a second.

“Yes Luna.” He said. I could feel him getting panic though the pack link.

“How many are you?” I asked straight to the point. By my tone he must have noticed it too that I am in no mood to kill time.

“Excluding the injured ones, roughly a more than four hundred wolves.” He said without missing a beat.

“Okay, come with two hundred of your most trusted men to the basement where we held her captive.” I said and finally opened the gate of our house.

“Did you tried to call out father through the mind link?” I asked as we make our way downstairs. He nodded but his eyes looked disheartened and I already know what his answer was.

“I tried but something is blocking our connection.” He said and I swear the hair on my neck straightened in fear
