02 Unpleasant

Few Months Ago.

Olivia.

Woodclaw Island was the land of opportunities, and I had come to seek greener pastures. Although my parents were from the Island, I grew up in Geneva, a small Island close to Santa Braee. My parents were from Dome, Woodclaw, but business had taken them to Geneva. My mother was a prostitute, and my father was a pimp that had fallen on hard times. They didn't have much to their name, but they seemed content with their lives. I wasn't. I wanted something better, and I knew hanging around would only land me in the same trade as my mother. When I turned eighteen, I decided to leave to carve a better future for myself. It was a struggle, especially when my mother wanted me to join her trade. Yes, she was sick like that, and so was my father. I had stolen her money and ran away. I thought of going to Santa Braee, but I knew my father had a network there and could easily catch me. Woodclaw was a different ball game, and I couldn't wait to see what it had in store for me.

I left the airport and did not know what to do. I noticed that things were a bit pricey in Woodclaw city so staying at a motel was not an option. While I roamed the place, I decided to visit the public park. I did not know if they allowed people to sleep there, but that was my best option until I could figure something out. I had seen some posters at the airport requesting young females interested in joining the military. It came with a decent salary and accommodation. As difficult as it sounded because I knew nothing about the army and combat, it was my best option, or I would be on the streets of Woodclaw longer than necessary.

I got to the park around sunset and found a nice bench to relax on. The scenery was beautiful, and I hoped my time there would be pleasant. It wasn't long after I sat on the bench that I dozed off.

Something hit my face. It was a hard slap. My eyes opened, and I sat up in shock. I was a bit disoriented, and soon I realised where I was. I looked up to see who was standing before me, and my heart caught in my mouth. It was Loco, my father's friend. What the fuck was he doing in Woodclaw, and how did he find me?

"Your father said you ran away last night." He said with his annoying nasal voice. He had on a beach print shirt with Khaki shorts. He looked a bit unkempt, but it wasn't my business. Most of my father's friends were junkies, so I would not be surprised if his habit had gotten the best of him.

"Answer me, girl," he said, and I did not know what to say. The bastard had caught me off guard. I tried to look around and realised his men were stationed around me. What were the odds that my father's network would find me in Woodclaw city in less than twenty-four hours?

"You turned eighteen, aye?" he asked, and I refused to answer him. I was freaking out. I did not know anyone in Woodclaw. I was at Loco's mercy, and he knew it.

"You dumb?" he asked me, and the fear that stirred in me made tears fall from my eyes.

"Please," was all I could manage.

"We traced your passport and traced you from the airport here, waiting for the crowd to disperse before we approach you. Pimps have a solid network, you know. You are too stupid to disappear without a trace." He said and laughed. I cringed.

"Pretty thing like you should not be sleeping on a bench in a public park. But then again, there is only so much the money you stole from an old whore could do for you. It isn't enough to take you far." He said and bent to lean close to my face.

"How about you work for me? You will make more money than your mother here in Woodclaw," he said, grinning. His teeth looked rotten, and I felt he might infect whoever he bites with them.

"Please let me go, Loco," I pleaded with him, ready to make a run for it.

"What If I refuse, Olivia? What would you do?" I got up and ran, but I wasn't fast enough. One of his men caught me and tackled me to the ground. While trying to break free of the bastard that caught me, his colleagues joined in, and I was doomed. They pulled me up, and Loco approached me smiling.

"Feisty," he said, and I was scared. How the fuck could I be so unlucky? Why the hell did I come to the park? How could I have known I was being trailed?

"Please," I begged, and before I could finish my sentence, Loco slapped me, and I tasted blood in my mouth.

"Put her in the van. She needs to be trained. Dome bitches are rare for business these days; she will fetch me a lot of money," he said, and I began to cry. I pleaded while they dragged me to their van.

"No, no, please." I felt the silver bracelet clasped on my wrist, which prohibited me from shifting, and I knew I was doomed.

"Loco, Please, Please!" I cried while they dragged me towards their vehicle. I prayed to the goddess to save me, but I knew I wouldn't receive an answer. I doubted the daughter of a whore and a pimp mattered to her. I had given up completely when someone called at them.

"Hey!" A deep, commanding voice said, and I used that opportunity to scream at the top of my lungs. It was all or nothing.

"Help me! Help!" I screamed, and they kept dragging me. The voice sounded closer. The owner was approaching. I wanted to look over my shoulder to see who it was, but I was confined by Loco's men.

"Stop!" The deep, commanding voice ordered. My knees shook, and I froze. An Alpha. What was an Alpha wolf doing in the park at night? Whoever it was, had just saved my life. I just hoped he wasn't an arsehole and he would care enough to take me from Loco. He approached us, and I could smell Loco's fear.

"What is going on here?" He asked. Loco's men released me, and I turned around to see the most handsome man I had ever seen. He had dark hair, blue eyes, a rich beard, not too brawny, and he was about Six feet five inches tall.

"Alpha Moon," Loco stammered, and I was shocked. Just then, another man who looked like him but had blonde hair and was a bit more muscular joined him.

"James, is everything alright?" He asked with a deep voice, and I wondered where these men came from.

"Beta Moon, good evening", Loco greeted the blond-haired man. I could not believe these were the alpha and Beta of Woodclaw. What were the odds that we would be in the same park?

"What is going on here?" Alpha Moon asked; his voice was a dream, deep, and a bit husky; I had a teenage crush immediately.

"A prostitute that defrauded a customer and ran away. She isn't from Woodclaw," Loco said, and I knew why. If I wasn't from Woodclaw, then I wasn't the alpha's pack member, which meant I wasn't his business.

"I am from Dome, and I am not a whore," I said quickly. One of his men hit my back, and Beta Moon growled at them.

"Give her to me," Alpha Moon requested, and Loco was reluctant, but I knew he had no choice.

They handed me over, and I showed the alpha my silver bracelet. He ordered them to take it off, and I watched Loco and his men leave. He was angry but powerless. I was pleased and thanked the goddess.

I was about to thank Alpha Moon for saving me when I noticed his face change into an angry scowl.

"You are too young for this kind of life. Why don't you find something productive to do with your life, young lady," he said, and I was offended by his tone. He didn't look that old, so why was he referring to me as if I were his child?

"Go to Dome; my grandmother has a foundation for girls like you. I hope you can rehabilitate yourself." He said and did not wait for me to speak.

"Paul, let's go." He said, and the Beta opened his wallet to hand me some cash. I felt too insulted to take it, and I shook my head. He shrugged, put the money back in his wallet, and walked away. I was dumbfounded when I remembered the ad at the airport.

"Alpha, Alpha," I called after the man running after him and his Beta. I heard him curse and stop while the Beta laughed.

"What is it?" Alpha Moon asked me, sounding Impatient, and I sighed.

"I just came in from Geneva, and I want to join the military here," I said, and both he and the Beta began to laugh.

"The military isn't for your kind," he said, and I was offended.

"And what kind is accepted in the military?" I asked him, and he turned toward me and smiled.

"Decent girls that can keep their legs closed and focus on their work," he said, and I almost slapped him. He might have saved me, but the guy was an arsehole. I balled my fist in anger and looked at him.

"The military does not need a distraction like you, young lady. I do not want you enticing my officers," he said, and my nose began to flare up. He walked away, but his Beta stayed.

"Do you have anywhere to sleep now that your pimp is gone?" he asked me, and I could not believe these bastards thought I was a prostitute. Even if I said I wasn't, he wouldn't believe me. Thanks to Loco, he had just hurt my chances of joining the Woodclaw military. I swallowed my pride and anger and shook my head.

"Follow me," he said, and my eyes widened at his request. There was no way I was going to sleep with him.

"Relax," he said, noticing I was uncomfortable.

"No one will touch you. My brother and I aren't into prostitutes," he said and looked at me with concern,

" No offence, please," he said, but I was already offended.

"Just a place to rest your head before you find something better to do. I believe that pimp isn't done with you yet. You will be safe with us," he said, and I wished I could reject the offer. After what happened with the cash, I knew the offer wouldn't stand for long. I reluctantly followed. It was better than sleeping on the bench and getting in trouble with another pimp. I might have been saved once, but I doubted I would be lucky twice.
