Jessica was devastated by her actions. She felt helpless and worthless. Suddenly her phone that was placed on her lap buzzed. It was a call from Steve. She looked at the screen with tears in her eyes. She didn’t pick it up. She was ready to face him she was afraid, of losing him.
Her eyes were still fixed on her phone as tears dripped down her now messy face. She snapped out when she heard a tap on her car’s window. Outside stood Steve. His eyes were slightly red, and his brows ceased in tension.
Seeing him made her cry even more. She covered her face with her hands. Steve again knocked on the window. She looked up at him and reluctantly opened the door of the car. As soon as the door was opened she was engulfed in a hug.
