Amelia

As I walk into the penthouse I lean against the large door as I close it firmly behind me and let a sigh out into the quiet of the large foyer, closing my eyes and centring myself.

I stay there for a few moments breathing deeply. I feel powerful and in control in a way I haven’t since Erik walked back into my life but it leaves a heavy stain on my heart that it was at the expense of that poor girls pain. I feel a lump in my throat at the thought of what could have happened to her if I had not been there.

My conscience is eased a little knowing that I dropped her safely to her home and that no further harm can come to her. Afterward I had gotten my driver to return to the club where I ripped the owner into verbal shreds.

Threatened to take the club from them if they did not address their vetting processes and ensure greater safety protections for the humans. I have demanded they do a full review, I want to know who that vampire was and I need to know if this has happened bef
