Leo dramatically burst into the room, the force of the door slamming behind him served as an announcement of his arrival. As his eyes locked onto Ismael, his demeanour was charged with emotion. "Why?" he asked, a heavy sigh escaping his lips, his hands resting firmly on his waist line, with his breaths laden with the weight of pain that seemed to grip his soul. Tears welled in his eyes, threatening to fall.

"Why what?" Ismael questioned, seated in the far corner on the sofa, as he looked up, with his bloodshot eyes shimmering with a mixture of sadness and worry, having the room's atmosphere draw on so tensely.

"She's my mother," Leo gasped, with his words choked up with emotions, having great tears held back with great difficulty. "She's fighting to stay alive," he said, his expression slowly turning severe.
