CHAPTER 81

OWEN'S POV

I walked into my office and slammed the door shut, anger and frustration taking over my entire being.

I looked at the clock and it was a few minutes to eleven. The meeting or whatever I had gone for lasted for only twenty minutes but I couldn't bring myself to leave the cafe.

I felt paralyzed and dumbstruck there. It wasn't until the waitress told me to order something or leave that I finally came to my senses and left.

My head was aching badly and I felt like ripping it off so that I could finally feel better. My phone buzzed with a message and I almost flung the phone across the room.

“I'm tired!” I yelled as I placed my head in my hands. “I don't want these messages anymore!”

“Just leave me alone…” I mumbled as I broke down. I realized that tears were falling from my eyes and I just let them. I was tired, exhausted, frustrated, broken.

Why is this happening to me? Why are they after me?
