I was in a deep sleep when I awoke to the earth shuddering voice and sat up on the bed, my hand on my trembling heart. With a loud thud, something fell to the ground, and I flinched at my position.
"Earthquake"
I squealed, landed on the floor in front of me, and rolled back towards the bed to save myself from the earthquake. When I heard loud thumping that matched my heartbeats, I covered my ear with my palms and squeezed my eyes tightly.
"Oh, my God! Please help me. I don't want to die so soon" I prayed for my safety.
The banging suddenly stopped, and silence enveloped me, but my breaths and heartbeats were still not ready to return to normal. I waited a few seconds before removing my palms from my ears and moving my eyelashes to slowly open my eyes.
A loud scream left my throat as I opened my eyes, and I ducked my head down, covering it with my hands.
