Executing Plan B

Claud and Lupa moved through the forest with purpose, their senses attuned to any sign of the demon. The scent trail led them deeper into the dense underbrush, where the sunlight barely penetrated the thick canopy above. The forest seemed to close in around them, the sounds of nature creating an almost oppressive atmosphere.

As they pressed on, the faint outline of a thatched hut came into view. It stood incongruously in the heart of the forest, a crude structure that seemed almost ancient. Claud motioned for Lupa to stay back as he approached the hut with caution. The scent of the demon was stronger now, a sharp, acrid odor that filled the air.

The demon stood in the center of the hut, unmoving, like a grotesque statue. Claud approached it slowly, every sense on high alert. He reached out, his fingers brushing against the demon’s cold, unyielding flesh. For a moment, it remained lifeless, and then suddenly, a voice echoed through the air, commanding it to attack
