The Invisible Bond

Gurdeep's feet resounded through the hospital's antiseptic hallways, each one bearing a cadence of nervousness and expectation.The smell of disinfectant and the soft chatter of medical personnel filled the air. He noticed a little change in the air while he was moving, a brief feeling that someone he cared about was close by.
