Laura was thinking it must be some kind of a joke "how will a stranger take over my father land" she questioned

"Your father doesn't have a male child and the elders think you aren't capable of making the right decisions, so they suggested that Jacob take over" Lorenzo answered even though he doesn't care.

"You can be my Luna, I won't mind" Jacob said relaxing his back on the chair as he turned to face her.

"You all can take my birthright away from me but I won't stooped so low and become your Luna" she answered in disgust, got up from her seat and walked out of the room

She met Cora in her room when she got there, she must have heard the news, she went to her and hugged her "they are giving my title to some stranger" she cried unto her shoulder.

Cora started shedding crocodile tears with her, "I heard and have been fighting my father over it, you don't need to cry Laura" she lied

"The audacity of him to tell me to become his Luna"

Cora was stunned and angry, even with her title gone, she seem to still be gaining attention but an idea struck her "you can accept him" she advised so that she can have Axel all to herself.

"I don't even like him and you are telling me to accept someone who is taking away my position" she still can't believe she said that

"You won't lose your respect that way" she persuaded

"I will rather lose my respect than be his Luna and also I love Axel" she said

"You will be okay, let me go see if I can talk to father" she stood up from her bed and left her with smile crept on her face.

She ran into Axel and quickly pulled him into a corner "so will you accept me now that she lost her title" she caress is chest

"What are you talking about" he is just coming back and haven't hear anything

"I see you haven't see anyone to tell you the news, we are having a new alpha" she smiled

Axel smacked her hand off his chest "what about Laura" she must be depressed right now

Cora wanted to punch his face when he mentioned her name but composed herself "don't you hear what I just said"she half yelled

"I thought she is your friend Cora but you don't seems to care" Axel stared at her

"Of course she is my friend and I felt pity for her" she displayed "But I did not pull you hereto talk about her"

"Stop being delusional Cora, Laura is the person that I love and not you"

"You will rather be with an ordinary person order than the beta daughter"

"I don't care about her title in the first place so why should I care now" he pushed her slightly back "if you will excuse me. I am sure she will need me if what you just said is true" he then walked away.

Cora stare at his retrieving figure, she was more finer with curves than Laura, why can't he just see that and picked her instead, she stomped her feet and walked to her father chamber.

"What is the matter dear, she isn't the alpha again and the coronation of the new alpha is taking place tomorrow" her father said

"I know but she seems to be getting on my nerves"she replied grabbing herself a drink from the fridge.

"You don't need to worry yourself , you are of higher rank more than her now and you will be getting all the attention" the father knew how much his daughter value attention a lot

"So who is the new alpha and I even heard he was trying to make Laura is Luna" he inquired

"I think he felt pity that he was taking her title" he self was shocked when Jacob suggested and when he asked why, all he did was praised her but he couldn't tell his daughter that.

"If only Axel can just see me" she lamented

"Are you talking about that warrior, you both should be together by now"  Lorenzo replied

She laughed "he does not even see me, all he talks about is Laura this and Laura that"

"I am sure he will soon come back to his sense once another alpha is coronated and she is not anymore"

"I wish because seeing the both of them together is painful"

"He will" he assured

    Axel went to Laura room immediately he left Cora and was surprised to see her packing her stuff "what are you doing" he asked stopping her

"Axel, they finally got what they want, I am not longer the alpha to my father pack" she cried hitting him on his chest continuously

"I just heard about it but why are you packing your things" he questioned holding her hands

"This is the royal chamber, I can't wait for them to come throw my things out" she answered

"No one dare to do, this is your room, they might take away your title but deep down, you know you are born an alpha" he consolidated her

"Thank God I have you and Cora" she hugged him

Axel wants to to tell her the kind of person Cora was but he knew now is not the time "so, have you meet the new alpha"

"I met him in the woods today, he was happy taking my title"

"Don't think about it, you are born for greater things" he sat down on the bed

"I hope you won't leave me too" she sat on the bed too facing him "at least now that I am just an ordinary person in the pack"

"I love you Laura, not because of your title but because of you are you" he said

She was speechless as she kissed him, there was no fireworks  or tingles in her tummy but she does not care because she love him, Axel drew her closer to himself as he deepened the kiss "I am ready" she told him

Axel knew what she was talking about, she wants to mate with him "I want it to be special and I know Now is not the time Laura, you are sad" he said

"I am fine" she replied acting strong

"You don't know what you are saying, let me help you keep your clothes back, he stood up and start helping her folds back her clothes into her closet .

"You don't want me" Laura suddenly asked him

He paused instantly and went back to her "Don't ever say that again, I want you more than anything" he held her chin "do you understand " he asked again and she nodded.
