Chapter five

I entered the bathroom and removed my rope .

I put off my floppy slippers before slipping inside the bathtub .

I rubbed my body with the foamy water and damn, I love the fragrance of the soap.

"Sam, what's the name of this soap "I asked .

Since she's standing by the door side, I'm sure she will hear me.

"It's beauty angel , ma'am, it came from phillipine, your father ordered it specially for you " she replied and I nodded as if she can see me.

After I finished bathing, I stepped out of the bathtub and picked my rope in the hanger where  I had hung it a while ago .

I wrapped the red Cotton on my body before moving out.

As I opened the door, Samantha's smiling face popped up .

Why is she smiling?

"Did something good happen?"I asked as I moved to the Wardrope .

I pulled out a blue flay skirt with a white tank top.

"Actually ....miss, this is the first time you've commented on the product your father brought for you "she Chuckled.

I turned to look at her and shook my head.

I placed my wear on the bed then grap my cream from the table.

I applied it on my body and returned it back to it's place. 

Samantha turned around as I picked up my underwear so I could have some privacy.

I put both of my legs inside and pulled it up to my waist.

I also picked up my bra then I put it on and after that, I wore my cloth.

Sam kept giggling as I walked to my shoe rack.

I brought out a trainers and I bend down to fixed it.

After I have done that, I sighed in relieve.

Why do I feel uncomfortable?

"Annabel"that's dad's voice .

Oh!

I just hope my plan works .

I moved to the bed and lay down on it .

I hurled up my body and allowed tears to flow freely from my eyes .

I glanced at Sam and she looked shocked, her smile has suddenly vanished.

Hmm!

I winked at her and point my pinky finger at her.

"Promise"I muttered and she nodded reluctantly.

"Mmh" I placed my hand on my tummy and the door went opened.

"Samantha ... where's my ...."Dad paused on his words.

I heard his footsteps approaching and I quickly closed my eyes.

"Hah!" I let out a wince.

"Ana , are you okay?"Dad asked worriedly.

"I'm... I'm .....hah" I hold my tummy .

"oh my God, baby are you okay ?"I felt his hand on my shoulder .

"N...no..." I said.

"Gosh!, what happened to you !"

"You go and call my wife "

Dad said.

He touched my head , shoulder and neck in panic.

"oh, my baby..."he stroked my hair.

The door went shut so I presumed Samantha has gone to call my Mom.

I opened my eyes and it came in contact with dad's.

Geez...

I can't believe he is already believing my small trick.

"You're gonna be fine, okay ?, let me call our doctor " he said and shoved out his phone from his pocket .

What?

I'm going to be exposed!

And that doctor can't even keep his mouth shut .

"No...no, dad .... it's just an headache" I tried to convince him.

"Headache is also a sickness baby,we can't take it lightly , he replied as he punched on his phone hurriedly .

oh, God.

The door opened and Mom ran in .

"Annabel !" she called and I rolled my eyes inwardly.

"What happened to you , are you feeling sick, huh?, Should I take you to the hospital ?" Mom asked.

Goodness!

"I'm... I'm ....."

"Or you have been poison?, tell me which place did you ate last?"Mom said and my eyes widened .

"Honey, call the corps , my daughter have been poisoned "Mom turned to dad.

What ?

"Mom!" I shouted softly .

"it's .... it's an headache, nothing more" I said and she hold my hand.

"The doctor is already on his way"Dad reported.

"once he arrive, I'm sure we will know what is wrong with her"Dad added .

Ugh!

This was a bad plan right from the beginning if I had think about my parents reaction .

The doctor came and he did some tests on me .

As I stared on Mom's and Dad's worried expression ,my heart flipped over.

This doctor.....

"She has a malaria!"the doctor announced and I turned to look at him.

Malaria?

seriously?

Is he covering up for me or he is incompetent?.

But ...my nerves kinda calm down a bit.

And did he just say malaria ?

"what ?, Malaria ? ...h..ow?"Mom stuttered .

"Well, that I don't know "the doctor sighed.

"But,I will prescribe some drugs for you before leaving" he added.

"or... should we just move her to the hospital?"Mom asked .

"No, it's a minor thing "the doctor gave her a reply.

"What...."Mom tried talking again.

"Please ,do prescribe the drugs now 

"Dad interrupted.

The day went on slowly and finally, the night arrived.

Even though I don't like how I was not allowed  to go out,I still felt happy.

At least ,my plan worked out.

I was feigning a sickness when I didn't know I had a sickness.

Dad has cancelled the show he said we will be attending to and I couldn't felt more happy.

I stared at the ceiling and I didn't know when I slept off.

*Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*

The blaring of my alarm woke me up.

 

I slowly opened my eyes and it got in contact with the sun that pierced through the window and glinted on my face.

Gosh!

I sat up and yawned .

I got up from the bed and walked up to the window.

I drew the curtains and looked out the window and a cool breeze blew up my hair.

I glanced at the guards that were moving around the compound and I sighed.

I moved away from the window and went to brush my teeth.

Samantha's entered the room immediately I got out of the bathroom.

"Good morning,miss"she greeted.

"Hey ....."I replied and she walked to the bathroom to prepare my bath.

I put off my cloth and picked up a red towel.

I slipped my leg in my red flip flop and moved to the bathroom .

I entered the bathroom just as Sam finished preparing the water.

"since it's kinda cold today,I prepared warm water for you instead"she informed me and I nodded.

"Thanks"I said and she bowed before leaving.

I entered the tub and started washing my body .

After getting dressed in my school uniform and sandals ,I went down to have my breakfast.

The dining area was empty so I guessed Mom and dad has left for work.

I sat down and a maid moved to me

with a landline.

"Good morning, ma'am . Your Mom is on the line...."  she said .

My Mom?

well,why can't she call my mobile.

I shrugged and collect the phone from her.

"Hey ,Mom"

"Oh,hey, baby I thought you will still be asleep so I didn't want to wake you up with my call and I decided to call the landline at the dining so I asked the maid if you have come down for breakfast, are you okay?"she rushed her words.

"Of ...of course ,Mom" I replied with a smile.

"okay if you're feeling too weak, you can just stay at home , okay ?,I will pass a call to your principal"she said.

Oh ,no .

Nobody knows about my identity yet and calling the principal is gonna reveal me.

"Uhm .... don't worry,mom , I'm perfectly fine now"

"Alright, you don't have to stress yourself ,okay?, and I have also asked the maid to make sure you have some fruit before going to school, okay ?"

"Yeah"

"Bye,I love you"

"Me too " I replied.

she hang up the call and I returned the phone to the maid.

The maid dished out my food and I munched on it .

After a while I was done with my food.

I stood up and carried my backpack.

I sauntered out of the house and went for my ride.

As I walked to my ride ,I noticed three men where trailing behind me .

I turned around and it was the guards ."why are they following me?"

"Your  dad said we should accompany you to school today "one of them replied.

I scoffed and waved my hand at them.

"I don't need you, don't worry.I'm perfectly fine, besides I'm big enough to guard myself "I said.

*just as how you guard yourself from perla and the others*my mind taunted.

Geeez..  

"But your Dad...."he haven't complete his statement when pretty maids came by.

okay,what the heck.

"Your Mom said we should accompany you to school "

what the heck!

Again!?????

"And why the fuck will you follow me to school"I retorted.

I'm getting worked up already!

 

"Miss..."

"Am I a child that needs to be taken around?"I added and they bowed their heads.

I sighed and looked at them.

Am I too harsh?

 "please ,I'm sorry,I have to go now and please, don't follow me "I said and walked over to the car.

The driver opened the door the me before I got there.

I entered the Car and we drove off.

I adjusted my glasses and relaxed on the back seat.

He drove for a long time before we got to school.

He packed the car in the garage and I got down before he will offer to open the door for me again.

I walked to the school premises then headed to my class.

Some girls discussed behind me and I turned to look at them.

They took a glare at me before walking away.

If only they knew I'm the one they are talking about .

As I stepped in the class, a bucket of water decanted on my body .

What?

The students busted into laughter ....

"Now, who the hell did this?!!  I screamed.
