Chapter twenty one

“What’s going on Hazel?” I asked her while waiting for a reply as we gazed into each other's eyes and I could see hers was flooded with worry.

“Mummy!! Aunty rose!” His tiny voice drew our attention, breaking away our gaze as she tried to hide her worries.

“My baby!” I stretched out my arms as he ran into them for a big hug before walking toward Rose and hugged her legs as he didn’t want to be carried.

“Aunty rose! We had a deal” he whined as Rose wanted to lift him up for a proper hug and I became curious about the deal.

“Okay okay a deal is a deal” she answered letting out a smile with her hands in the air as we walked back to the shop together.

“So what’s this deal about?” I asked, peering into their eyes as I felt a lot left out with the both of them avoiding my question.
