I had lost count of how long I’ve been in here and it honestly didn’t matter. We still hadn’t heard from them but luckily my mama could still feel the mate bond though she’s extremely worried.

It only left two thoughts in our hearts and it was either they couldn’t find a way to get reports to us or there wasn’t a report to get here and we knew the answer that came with this. It was quite obvious as they would send any reports no matter how light or not helpful it seemed.

I finally stepped into the office myself even though everyone, especially Kade, already saw me as their alpha.

It wasn’t inevitable. My pack needed protecting and that was exactly what they were going to get. I wouldn’t ever stand by the side and watch some unknown creature creep inside this pack and do any harm to the wolves under me.
