After hearing what Sebastian had to say, Nora was in total shock. After the shock wore off they both decided to go talk to Alexander. Nora knew it was important he Alexander heard the real truth about what happened not just her version.

The sun dipped towards the horizon, casting long shadows as Nora slipped into the passenger seat of Sebastian's car. He slid in beside her, the familiar scent of his cologne filling the space. A heavy silence hung between them, punctuated only by the click of seatbelts and the soft hum of the engine.

"When you told Alexander you were on your way to his house, what did he say?" Nora's voice, usually bright and confident, was laced with apprehension. The weight of the conversation that lay ahead pressed down on her.

Sebastian glanced at her, his eyes holding a mix of determination and concern. "He said I should come over," he replied, his voice steady. "After talking to him, I'm sure everything will be alright."

His words were meant to be reassuring, but

Why did it have to be my best friend?", Alexander queried. Nora got on her knees beside Sebastian, she took out her handkerchief from her purse and scrunched it together and placed it on the gaping wound. Taking a deep breath, Nora knew

He has Pulmonary Contusion and Hemothorax", the doctor said. The doctor's words hung heavy in the air, a leaden weight pressing down on their collective breath. Relief had morphed into a chilling fear, a new understanding of the precarious hold Sebastian had on life. While the operation itself had been a success, the journey to recovery seemed fraught with unexpected hurdles."Pulmonary contusion and hemothorax," Vettel repeated the doctor's jargon, his voice laced with confusion and growing panic. "Can you… could you explain in simpler terms? What, exactly, is happening to my son?"The doctor, sensing their desperation, softened his tone. "Imagine the lungs as delicate, sensitive balloons," he began. "The trauma from the bullet, even though it missed vital organs, caused bruising and internal bleeding - the contusion - just like if you squeezed th

  • In his eyes   Stage lights

The stage lights glinted off Greg's tailored brown blazer, throwing his well-fitted blue t-shirt into sharp relief. He looked almost…different. Gone were the plain shirts and boring sweaters he wore when he was Graycen's teacher. That version of Greg was replaced by a modern, laid-back sophistication. The way his blue trousers mirrored the t-shirt, the stylish leather shoes completing the ensemble – it was a studied effortlessness, exuding a quiet confidence Nora almost hadn't recognized. As Greg approached, greeting her with a hug, Nora felt a flicker of something within. Was it relief at his presence, a comfort amidst the swirling storm of Angelina's show? Or was it…something more? She couldn't help but steal another glance, she couldn't believe he had successfully fooled her for so long. She had been in a relationship with a billionaire and she had no idea, he had completely deceived her. Angelina's voice broke the spell, her practised warmth as artificial as the studio lights. "Th

The air crackled with hesitant anticipation as Greg took the stage, his gaze searching the sea of faces before landing on Nora. With a deep breath, he began, "When I met Nora, falling in love wasn't even a whisper in the wind. In fact, the last year had been a brutal storm, one that nearly cost me my life."His voice, usually composed and confident, held a tremor that resonated with a raw vulnerability. The audience leaned forward, drawn into the gravity of his words. Memories flickered across his mind -Dripping sophistication and charm, Greg was fully dressed in a black tuxedo. He abhorred social gatherings because most of the time he would have to make small talk with people who didn't know him, people who had their hidden agenda. He enjoyed being backstage running his businesses and growing his empire but today was different. Miley made all the difference, Greg was having all the feelings including butterflies flying around in his tummy. Having spent a whole month in Paris with Mi

Greg watched as the audience became quiet, they were hanging onto his every word. Even Angelina was caught up in the story but it was Nora’s attention he wanted. He seemed like he was a good storyteller only this wasn’t a story but his life. He lived through the experiences. "Taking Miley to go see my parents was one of the happiest days of my life", Greg began again looking into the audience. "I felt so proud of myself, I had met a woman who was beautiful, graceful with a pure and compassionate heart. I would spend hours going through her website and social media pages, looking at all the charity work she was involved in. My five brothers and their wives had all agreed to come to the farm and meet Miley. I was the last in a family of seven. We had only a sister and although she couldn't make it, she had sent her warmest regards, in her words, ' She is so lucky to have you',", Greg said as he was once again drawn into the scene that day at the farm. He knew the question hanging in the air was a loaded one, a grenade waiting to detonate the fragile peace."Theodore," he began, his voice tight with barely suppressed anger, "this isn't the time or place for this."But his father, Herbert, cut him off, his voice booming like a cannon across the clearing. "Son," he said, his gaze unwavering, "you're a grown man, you're your own master. You don't have to answer to anyone…" He paused, taking a long swig from his beer bottle, the clinking echoing in the silence. "But we're family, Greg. And family thrives on accountability. The sterile walls of the doctor's office seemed to shrink as Nora and Alexander sat, anticipation hanging heavy in the air. Finally, the doctor entered, her face unreadable."I have some news," she began, her voice a low hum in the tense silence. "We have a match."Nora's breath hitched. One week after Nora found out about Alexander's health condition her mind was constantly worried. Alexander was carrying on as if everything was right with the world, he spent every afternoon with his daughter and sometimes Nora would tag along on their little outings. They hadn't discussed the status of their relationship yet and Nora wasn't ready for that talk yet. That was why when Alexander invited her to be his date at an event she found it awkward and difficult to say no to him. As they sat in the back seat of Alexander's Rolls Royce, neither of them spoke to each other. Nora looked exquisite and she knew it, she was wearing one of the designs from her fashion line. It was a pale blue one-shoulder Grecian gown and the pearly bejewelled headpiece she had on matched the bejewelled belt that cinched the gown in at the waist showing off her hourglass shape.
