Chapter 19: Girl's Night Cover-Up - Jonny

I’m down in the kitchen with Melanie and Stephany when Melanie’s phone chirps, letting us know Amory is texting her. She looks at me and grabs it before saying, “she’s just looking for the baby”!

I nodded at her as I turned my attention back to trying to figure out Spencer’s expensive ass coffee contraption. He walks in and sees what I’m doing, then pushes a couple of buttons to make it start brewing before he smirks at me.

“How’d you sleep?”, he asks Amory as soon as she walks into the kitchen.

“I dunno, that bed is most certainly softer than it used to be”, she says, but she looks cranky and miserable.

“I threw out the old mattress the day you ran out of here, I didn’t want to sleep on a bed with you that had been tainted by someone else”, he says.

“Glad you thought that would fix things”, Amory says, giving me an opportunity to return his smirk. “It’s too soft”!
