Cedric coughed lightly, his expression not one of embarrassment but of frustration. 'I am not at the point where I need that for my health. Does Grandpa really have so little faith in me?'

Throughout breakfast, Sophie barely spoke, her face flushed with embarrassment. She felt relieved to escape Jeff's suggestive looks, but the enclosed space of the car made her heart race with anxiety.

'Sophie, it’s just sleeping together. It's not like it’s the first time!' she silently berated herself, turning to look out the window in an attempt to calm down.

Cedric smiled faintly, giving her time to compose herself.

"Good morning, Ms. Luxford." The elevator doors opened, and Linda approached as usual. Her immaculate makeup showed no signs of her overindulgence the previous night.

Seeing Sophie staring at her, Linda asked, puzzled, "Ms. Luxford, is there something wrong?"

"No, I just think it must be exhausting for you always to be so perfectly put together every day."

If she had not seen Li
