Sophie glanced at her swollen ankle, realizing she might need help getting home safely.

Half an hour later, they arrived at her apartment building.

Austin switched off the engine and hurried to open the door for her, but Sophie had already stepped out. The door closed with a soft click that seemed to freeze him in place.
