(Alessio's POV)

"You won't have to kill anyone, Godfather, because I don't love any woman, and it's always going to remain that way. Like I have always said to you, I'm nothing like my father. I won't ever end up the way he did," I said, with all the assurance I could give. Lisa is just someone I want to keep around me, not someone I love.

"That's good to know. Your father was a disgrace to the DeLuca family," Salvatore said, and that made my anger boil. My dad might not be the strongest man I know, but he was the purest person on earth. The only mistake he made was falling in love with the wrong woman, and with each passing day, I wish she wasn't my mother.

"Don't call my father a disgrace, Godfather. Even if he didn't meet up to the family's expectations, at least he gave his best. I won't tolerate you insulting my dad. He might be dead, but you have no right to insult him, even at his grave," I said, my voice filled with anger. It has always been tradition to respect the Godf

(Lisa's POV) I stood by Alessio's suite, debating whether I should enter or not. I had been in his suite a couple of times, so I knew exactly where it was located in his house. The only thing hard to find in this place was the exit. I wanted to talk to him—not because I wanted to, but because it was part of my plan. Before coming here, I had been so determined, but standing here at his doorstep, it felt like my courage had been replaced with fear. "You can do this, Lisa. If you want to leave this place, go back to California and to your Dad, you have to do this," I said, exhaling deeply. I raised my hand to knock on the door, and that's when his voice stopped me. "What are you doing?" he asked. I turned to look at him, and there he was, standing a little distance away. He stood tall, his hands tucked in his pockets, like always. "Hi," I faked a smile at him, slowly waving. He walked closer to me, towering over me with his height and build. "You haven't answered my question

  • In The Arms Of A Mafia Boss    Tamed

(Alessio's POV) I love the way my touch affects her. I love how my touches send shivers down her spine. It makes me feel like I own every part of her body—she’s mine anyway. From the moment we spent that night together, under each other's skin, she marked herself as mine. No one can touch her except me. No one can kiss her or do crazy things to her body except me. Is this what you call love or lust? I am still yet to understand, but all I know is that she is mine to possess and mine to keep. "Does my touch have a great effect on you?" I asked purposely, my hand sliding further up her thigh, almost reaching her panties. I shouldn't be doing this, but she started it. She suddenly became nice, smiling and seducing me however she pleases—even if she’s unaware that every single thing she does makes me want to kiss her and fuck her. But I do hope she heeded to my advice and isn’t planning to escape again. It’d be dangerous if what I’m thinking is actually going on in her head. When

(Lisa's POV) I kept rolling back and forth on the bed, feeling utterly embarrassed. I couldn’t help but scold myself for losing control like that. I didn’t just moan once—I moaned three times. The moment his fingers touched my panties, tracing invisible lines, I couldn’t hold back and moaned his name. Not only did I moan, but my body betrayed me, and I got wet. If he hadn’t stopped, I might have completely lost control and begged him to fuck me—just like he did that night. I covered my face with my hands, groaning inwardly at my weakness. A part of me didn’t want to repeat that night with him, but anytime his hands brushed against my skin, another part of me craved him—yearning for his body to claim mine, just as he did that night. Getting back to my senses, I slapped myself hard—so hard that it stung, leaving my face red with the imprint of my fingers. "Pull yourself together, Lisa!" I scolded myself, glaring at my reflection in the mirror across the room. "You should be the

(Lisa's POV)"Don Alessio," Isabella said, quickly getting up from the bed and bowing to him. I remained sniffly on the bed, wishing I could go back a few seconds and take back what I just said. I had never been good at interacting with people; all my life, I had always been an introvert who listened to what others said without offering my own opinions. And today, when I decided to come out of my cage, this happened. I was only trying to make Isabella laugh, and with how his eyes were lustfully staring at me, I hoped he didn’t take my words to heart. "What are you still doing here?" His deep baritone voice asked Isabella, who remained standing and bowing to him. I wished Isabella could be brave and stay with me, but I was making an empty wish that could never come to pass. Before I could even blink, Isabella had already found her way out of the room. Now it was just me and Alessio left in the room. I tried not to look at him, but those piercing dark brown eyes of his never left mine

(Lisa's POV)"Lastly, this is the library," Ivan said to me as we entered. I gasped at the sight; it was huge and filled with so many books. It was bigger and more beautiful than the state library. It's already been three days since I last saw Alessio, and Ivan and Isabella have been doing their best to keep me entertained. Ivan had been showing me around the house, and Alessio wasn't lying when he said there were so many fun things to do inside. Alessio is definitely not normal—who builds a swimming pool inside his house? Aside from that, it also looked like a haunted house; I still can't forget how I got trapped with smoke coming out of nowhere. Ivan didn't show me the dark side of the house; I guess the boss himself must've told him not to.Nevertheless, I couldn't stop myself from admiring how beautiful the library felt. He had taken me to the swimming pool room, game room, gym, and so many more, but this library was my favorite. Maybe it's because I am a lover of books, and it go

  • In The Arms Of A Mafia Boss    Compassion

(Alessio's POV) I had left Italy to go to Mumbai because I needed to finish the job that was assigned to me. Louis had given me the details on where he was hiding in Mumbai. I was just waiting for the perfect time to push through with my mission—I’d attack him when he least expected it. I didn’t bring any of my men because handling him was a piece of cake. I would have taken Ivan with me, but I told him he could stay behind and look after Lisa, just in case she needed anything. It had been three days since I last saw Lisa. I wasn’t sure if I missed her, but I had been waiting patiently for Ivan to call me to say she wanted to talk to me. When he didn’t, I decided to call him just so I could speak to her. I didn’t know why, but not hearing her voice and seeing her beautiful face for three days felt like an important part of me was missing. “Boss, Alessio wants to speak to you,” I could hear Ivan say from the other side of the phone after I instructed him to give the phone to her.

(Alessio's POV) Arriving at the nightclub, it was filled with so many people dancing to the beat of an Indian hip-hop song. I spotted Diego, who was surrounded by ladies in the VIP area. I approached him and sat down in one of the chairs. Diego, who had been sucking on a lady's nipples, stopped and looked at me. "You don't look like an India" he said. "You must be Diego," I said in Italian, which made him smile. "Whoa! You're from my home country. What brings you to Mumbai?" he asked, still smiling. I guessed he was unaware of who I was; otherwise, he would have been trembling at the sight of me. If only he knew today would be his last on Earth, he wouldn't be smiling at me. "Business," I said curtly. I couldn't let him know I had come here to kill him; I wanted him to be taken by surprise. He wouldn't know what hit him. "Nice meeting you," he stretched out his hand to shake mine, but I merely gave him a cold look. I was still Don Alessio DeLuca, regardless of where I wa

(Lisa's POV) I sat down on the bed, exhausted from reading so many books in just a few hours. Isabella had left after I told her I needed to be alone. She didn’t argue and left so she wouldn’t get on Alessio’s bad side. Lying on the bed, counting the lights on the ceiling, my thoughts drifted to Alessio. It had been four days since he left, and I wondered when he would be back. It's not like I missed him, but I was just used to seeing his face every single day. I sighed in frustration, wondering where the exit of his house might be. Ivan had shown me around, but there were no place that looked like they led outside. I had been brought here while I was unconscious, which was probably why I hadn’t figured it out. Should I interact with the maids? I was sure they knew where the exit was since they were brought in by Alessio. But what if they chose to keep it a secret, like Ivan and Isabella? I don't believe Isabella; it was impossible for her not to know where the exit was. She must h

(Lisa's POV) I didn’t know what to do at that moment. There was no way I could possibly leave this house—not when Alessio had his eyes on me. My heart shattered as I spoke to him. Not even in my worst nightmares did I ever dream about losing my dad. Everything was happening so fast in just one day. First, Vanessa died. Then Alessio drastically changing from who he used to be into something worse. And now, I just found out that my dad was dead. It felt like my world had collapsed right in front of me. Why was all this happening to me in one single day? “I… I can't leave. Alessio’s got his eyes on me,” I sniffled. “Then it means you're not interested in knowing who killed your dad!” he snapped and hung up. “Please, don’t hang up on me!” I cried out. Sobbing, I called the number again, but he didn’t pick up. “Please answer the phone,” I cried, almost at the brink of losing myself. I wished this was all just a dream—one where I’d wake up and find Vanessa cooking for me, my dad sti

(Lisa's POV) I sat down on the bed, burying my face in my thighs and wrapping my arms around them as fresh tears dripped from my eyes. I don’t know what had gotten into Alessio, but he had completely changed in just few hours. First, he killed Vanessa, and now he didn’t even blink before sending my dad away. I want to leave. No matter how much I love him, I can't tolerate him anymore. He killed Vanessa—an innocent woman who had been so kind to me from the very first day she was brought here by that monster. More tears streamed down my face as memories of Vanessa filled my mind. It felt like a dream, but I knew it wasn’t. She was dead. The door creaked open, and he stepped inside, his hands in his pockets. “You’re finally awake?” he said, but I only gave him a hateful glare. My heart might still love him, but my mind already despised him for what he did to Vanessa. “Lisa…” he took a step closer. “Don’t. Don’t come any closer, Alessio,” I said firmly, though my eyes continued to

  • In The Arms Of A Mafia Boss    Lifeless body

(Writer's POV) Jacob trembled quietly as he waited for Alessio. The gateman had refused to let him in, judging by how the security guards had thrown him out earlier. "You can do this, Jacob. Lisa might love him, but he's not good for her. I'm sure she'll find a better man once she goes back to California with you," Jacob assured himself. "I thought I told you to leave?" Alessio asked as he approached him. Jacob became terrified at the sight of him, but he tried to stand his ground. If he did what Enzo instructed him to do, Lisa would never find out he was the reason her mother died. It might not have been deliberate, but in the end, he was still the one who made her motherless—which is why he had showered her with so much love over the years. "I came to see you," he managed to say. "Came to see me?" Alessio repeated. His eyes flicked to the gateman, who quickly understood the signal and opened the electric gate. Alessio stepped out of the compound, his height and build

(Alessio's POV) "I already sent him away, Boss Alessio," Ivan informed. "What about Lisa?" I muttered. "I haven't checked up on her. I kept her locked up like you ordered me to do," he said. "You can leave," I muttered again, and he left. My eyes gazed at my phone screen, expecting a call from Enzo. I was waiting for him to call, even if he was going to use a voice changer, because I knew he must’ve seen Vanessa's dead body. I tried calling him, but, as always, it didn't go through. I even had to use Vanessa's cellphone that I had taken from her, but he didn’t pick up, knowing full well I was the one calling since Vanessa was dead. When she mentioned that Enzo was going to come after Lisa, I became too angry, and that’s why I killed her. I don’t regret killing her anyway; I already got the truth I was looking for—Enzo was still alive. My mind drifted to Lisa, and I heaved a deep sigh before going to her room to see her. Opening the door, she was sleeping on the bare fl

  • In The Arms Of A Mafia Boss    Grinning like the devil

(Writer's POV) People murmured to one another, and cars kept stopping just to take a look at Vanessa's dead body. Ivan had dumped her body in the middle of the road where she could be easily seen, just as Alessio had instructed him. "I wonder what happened to her." "Who could have fired so many bullets at her?" "Does anyone know her?" People murmured among themselves as they took pictures of Vanessa's body. The cops were there too, but they couldn’t get any CCTV footage of what had happened because Ivan had made sure to delete the footage showing how he dumped Vanessa's body. While people were still murmuring, Enzo, who was taking a ride back home after having his breakfast at a nearby restaurant, stepped out of his car when he saw the crowd. Making his way to the front where Vanessa’s corpse lay, he gasped in shock. She had already turned pale. "Va...nessa," he stuttered as he rushed toward her dead body. The cops tried to stop him, but he pushed them all away, lifting Vanes

  • In The Arms Of A Mafia Boss    Trace of fear

(Alessio's POV) "This must be a misunderstanding. Vanessa can't possibly be the spy!" Lisa defended Vanessa for the umpteenth time. The gunshot had startled everyone in the house. They were all fully awake, watching as I tortured Vanessa, who refused to speak. No one was speaking against me; even her own father didn’t dare to say a word. All he did was stand there, watching as I tortured Vanessa in one of the torture rooms inside the house. It was Lisa who kept shouting and defending Vanessa, even after I had told her that she was a spy. "You better stay out of this, Lisa!" I yelled at her, hoping to make her flinch and back off, but she stood her ground, her eyes burning into mine. For the first time since I met her, I wanted her to go back to the way she used to be—terrified and scared whenever she saw me, even if it was just for a moment. She no longer showed a single bit of fear for me. This was what I had always wanted—for her not to be scared of me—but now I wished

  • In The Arms Of A Mafia Boss    Play it smart

(Alessio's POV) "Are you sure you're alright?" I asked Lisa a few days later. She nodded her head as she yawned. These past few days, she had constantly complained of being tired, even though all she did was sleep. "Are you sure you don't want me to take you to the hospital?" I asked again, concern lacing my voice. She shook her head in disagreement. "I'm fine, Alessio. It's just a minor sickness. I’ll be fine." "You're sure?" I asked again, even though she had made it clear she was fine. "I'm sure of it. Where's my dad?" she asked. "In his room," I replied. I had allowed her father to stay here all because of her, but I hoped he would get the hint and go back to California. I didn’t like him being in my house, and I couldn't possibly tell him to leave—unless I wanted Lisa to be mad at me. She hadn’t been herself these past few days, and I didn’t want to add to her stress by asking her dad to leave. Thankfully, he understood the kind of man I was, and we rarely spo

  • In The Arms Of A Mafia Boss    Breaking up

(Alessio's POV) I sat at the far end of the nightclub, sipping from my bottle of tequila and smoking through my mouth and nostrils. Lisa and I fought again. We never seem to run out of things to fight about. One minute we’re sweet with each other, and the next, we have something to argue over. Why can’t she understand that I don’t want to get married or have kids? It’s not that I don’t want those things, it’s just that I want to be the last legacy of the Declan mafia world. I wouldn't want my child to go through the same pain and suffering I went through, all because he was next in line to rule the DeLuca Mafia world. My late dad tried to prevent it from happening, but in the end, I became a mafia boss. Just because I have no plans of marrying her or starting a family doesn’t mean I love her less. Can’t we just be happy together? These were the thoughts going through my mind, until a lady wrapped her arms around me. The only thing she was wearing was stilettos, as she was comp

(Lisa's POV) The drive back home was a silent one. I sat in the back seat with my dad instead of the front seat with Alessio. With every passing second, he glanced at me through the rearview mirror, but I pretended not to notice. His words still lingered, and if not for my dad sitting next to me, I would've argued with him again. "Are you okay?" my dad whispered, and I nodded with a smirk. We arrived home, and my dad and I got out of the car, but Alessio didn't. I expected him to blindfold my dad so he wouldn't know the way into of the house, but he just drove off after I got out with my dad. He didn’t say a word to me, and it kind of stung my heart. "Why did he suddenly leave like that?" my dad asked, and I forced a smile so he wouldn't notice the sadness in my eyes. "I'm sure he has something important to do, Dad." "His behavior sucks, Lisa." "That's how he is. He's a mafia boss, remember? They tend to act that way." "I don't like him for you." "I know you don't, and I ca
