3. Headache

2024-10-29 19:42:56Victoria yawned as she sprawled on the bed, almost simultaneously she could feel like a rock was over her head, because of the heaviness she felt.
She laid back down, maybe it would stop, but it didn't. She felt a headache. She just wanted to sleep more, but at the same time couldn't go back to sleep, it was frustrating, so she just laid back, staring at the ceiling.Yawning again, it dawned on her; this wasn't her room! 'where am i' She asked herself. Sitting back up, she looked around. She was drunk the last night, that she knew, but she couldn't quite remember much.Raking her brain, trying to get something; all she could remember was finally finding Amber, and walking to the hotel, which was just a little mile away from the award venue....and that was it."Amber!" She whispered to herself. Getting out of the bed, in a bid to go out to look for Amber, she took just a few steps and her head was hurting like hell. Shaking her head, while trying to open the door, she felt like she might fall. Suddenly, someone opened the door, almost hitting her. It was a man. A young man, he wore a neat white shirt and matching black trousers. His hair was neatly combed."O my! So sorry" Drew said."Who are you?" She said backing up a little from him. She wasn't scared, she was just cautious. She didn't know where she was, how she got here, and seems like she spent the night here, she had woken up on this man's bed, in his room, and she needed that weariness."I'm Drew." He said smiling as he put forward his hands for her to shake, she didn't, so he took them back."My boss asked me to wait till you wake up, to make sure you are okay, before I leave, soooo...you need anything?""Your boss? wait a minute, who's your boss if I might ask?""You don't remember him?""What? I don't know him...or remember him, where the hell am I?"Drew breathed in slowly, before replying. he didn't know why the CEO, chose him of all the guards who accompanied him on this trip of his, to wait for her to wake up, so he can check on her before leaving. "You don't actually need to know him. Just tell me right now if you need anything at all."At first, Victoria wanted to say that she needed nothing because he was a stranger, but she did need to ask him for something. "My phone. where's my phone?"She asked first, expecting an answer, because he sounded so confident when asking if she needed anything."I wouldn't know that, ma'am""My friend, Amber, I need to find her.""You don't actually need to, she's right outside, she's been waiting for you""Amber?""Amber Smith, yes," Drew said opening the door wider for her to go through."Amber!""Tori!" Amber ran and hugged her, they were both excited, Victoria winced a little, but the headache wasn't gone."Tell me, how did you get here, I mean, I searched everywhere for you, I thought something had happened, and I couldn't shake that guilty feeling off and....""I also don't know how I got here."Victoria said holding her face in her palms."My head hurts like crazy and there's this guy saying his boss..."Victoria turned around to point towards Drew but he wasn't there anymore."He left," Amber said. "He told me he would leave when you woke up, who did you hook up with, girl?!" she was excited, but Victoria wasn't."What? Did I? I didn't....." Victoria answered her own question, before trailing off in thoughts. She was angry at herself because she couldn't remember much from last night."Well... you spent the whole night In there with him, and besides I think he's rich, super rich, like really really rich, girl. you needed to see the men who were with him, they all wore suits that looked really expensive and sadly, they won't let me see him, didn't even get a glimpse of him." Amber made a sad face while looking at the tired Victoria."Can we go, I'm tired, I swear," Victoria said walking past her excited friend, tiredly."But, seriously what happened all night between both of ya, all that time I spent looking for you, scared as fuck, and you were having a good time with Mr rich." Amber rushed in front of Victoria. Amber chuckled.**********Drew drove out of the Hotel, he was happy his boss's girl had finally woken up, so he could leave. Thinking to himself, it sounded weird, saying 'his master's girl'. It was a rare thing for his boss to have a woman spend the night with him. Rare thing? what was he saying; ever since he started to work for Mr Topher he had never asked him to book a woman to spend the night with, neither did he ever see him have a woman by his side whenever they went to a wine party or a business party."Well ..... shouldn't be thinking of that, Drew." He said to himself, he just hoped to reach his boss's location on time, he wanted to badly see the woman that made his boss smile while mentioning his plans to visit her; another thing he rarely did.'She must be extremely beautiful like the lady at the hotel', to have his boss want to come around a place like this. The town as a whole didn't seem bad, at least they had modernized places, like the hotel for his boss to spend the night in; but where he was driving to, didn't look good on the general pictures, the team had given him when searching for the town.
