CHAPTER 78 - What A Bother

Amelia was startled when Leo suddenly grasped her hand.

He took a few deep breaths and said hoarsely, “There’s no need for that.”

Amelia looked at him with concern. “What do you mean, ‘no need’? You’re bleeding.”

“It’s just a wound that needs rebandaging and some medicine,” Leo replied, his voice faint.

Leo’s appearance was pale and fragile, with beads of cold sweat dotting his forehead from the pain. Seeing him in such a state pricked Amelia’s heart.

Without saying another word, she helped him lie back on the bed and began searching for the first aid box to tend to his wound.

The children, having waited for a while and seeing their mother hadn’t emerged, decided to go check on her.

Upon seeing Leo lying weakly, Ella’s eyes widened with curiosity, while Liam frowned and muttered, “What a bother.”

Liam’s comment stung Leo deeply, but he remained silent.
