"Um, excuse me? You said?" I was totally unsure what she meant. I mean I knew the word but did not understand the context with which it was being used.

"Bonding, as in family time, pack time. All the pack mates come together to see a movie every Friday. We missed it last Friday though."

Beam came closer to me.

"What is it?" I asked her suspiciously.

"I kinda promised my friends that I could get you to allow them to play games with your phone," she whispered.

If the children could control their hearing abilities as werewolves then Beam whispering was quite unnecessary but still I played along.

"What? Well, that's not happening."

"But you said if I behaved like a good girl I can have access for a lifetime," she said, sounding betrayed.

"Fine, but not now, okay? My charger is faulty and Gray hasn't gotten me a new one."

I patted her hair and she grumbled.

"You're lying Hayley! Stop lying to little children!" her voice rose intermittently.
