You Worry Too Much

The next day I woke up, my eyes fought to adjust to the bright light glittering into the room. I laid still listening to the sound from the outside saturating through the walls into the house.

I couldn't focus on the numerous sounds coming in at once. There were those from the sparring younglings, those from howling wolves, once coming from the kitchen, once that if I decide to heed to, might actually cause me deftness, due to how unchaste they were.

I peeled my eyes open and slowly allowed them to take in our surroundings. Instinctively, my hand searched around the bed, until it found Lance. I smiled and turned to face him.

He looked so worn out, the lines in the skin close to his eyes, looking very crease. I knew he was worried and knew why. It was all because of me.

Naturally, I would tap him not so gently, or shake him furiously awake asking him to be an Alpha but right now looking at him, I couldn't find it in me to be that mean to him.
