Get Out Now

I shrunk away as the sun pooled into the room threatening to blind me. I winced and cursed at whosoever must have left the curtain open at this odd hour of the morning.

I sat up pushing the cover, up to my chin to shield my eyes from the onslaught of the sun. Looking around, I confirmed that no one was around and at the same time, my body was no longer aching like yesterday.

I stood from the bed and went to the mirror to check out my outlook. To say it mildly I was looking like hell. I can't believe I had degenerated to this extent.

I hissed and reached out to brush my fingers through my tresses to the back, still taking cognizance of the falling hairs. My eyes were sunken and so were my cheeks hallow, to be finished off by the paleness of my skin. I looked like a wreck.

How would Lance look at me with the way I was looking? I felt ashamed of myself and just wanted to be far from myself if that would be possible.

The sound of footsteps coming to the room drove me back from my musing,
