The Party

“oh yes! Yess yesss yessss fuuuuck.”

I buried my face on my bed and took a pillow and placed it over my head.

Curse Kelvin!

I was busy trying to think of a way to go out to that Dash party.

What to tell mum that will make her allow me go. 

Or If I should bribe the devil himself and sneak out which wouldn't really end well for me if mum ends up coming back earlier than me in the morning.

And..  and it was like Kelvin was ringing a bell in my head so I couldn't think.

And the pillow probably was helping only to suffocate me rather than shutting out the nonsense.

My door suddenly opened and I removed the pillow from my head to see who it was. Who else could it be?

“Olivia.”

“Rosa… Kelvin is having sex and I cannot sleep.” She complained. I scowled at her.

Well who cares!

She walked inside my room closing the door after her

“The girl just keeps screaming.” She said.

Oops. Silly me!

Her room is next to Kevin’s and mine is opposite a room next to Kevin’s.

What I mean is, she was probably more disturbed than I am.

I chuckled briefly.

“What is even wrong with that guy anyway, can't he just keep it down with the bitch.” I fell laying on the bed.

“arrsh." Liv gasped.

"oh please stop with the dramaah, mum isn't here, besides..." I eyed her. "you just mentioned sex like you've started having it."

"noo!" she nodded negatively making me roll my eyes. They was a little while of silence.

"I have a boyfriend now though." she said making me roll my eyes again but then... wait up.

I stared at her from where she halted in my room.

"you what?"

"he asked me out yesterday." she said with such a tone. I let out a mocking chuckle. 

Okay first of all wow! secondly, even if this is all child's play relationship, I'm envious honestly.

Liv is getting a guy to look at her already, I can't even!

"I can assure you that, that dude that asked you out yesterday, he is gonna rip your heart out in the long run, that's if he doesn't crush it." 

I said making her gasp a little. "trust me on that one. I know these things." I said trying to act advanced in those kinda things.

I probably know these things for real though. 

Guys never get attracted to me aside just sex which I never let them get, hence I'm dumped in just a week over and over and over.

But I also know that Olivia is not me. a

And... and of course, she is still young.

"Consider this a life lesson Olivia, All guys want sex. but not all you should give it to.

especially not your first prospective boyfriend material dates."

"But why is that girl shouting.” Liv asked showing that she wasn't paying attention to my many many talk, but the girl's screams.

“Oh shut up.”

She got on my bed and laid down beside me.

“Careful, don’t step on my sheets.” I said now staring up at the ceiling in anger or anxiety... I don’t know.

“I heard her say, Kelvin you’re killing me.” Liv said in whispers. I frowned and tilted my head to stare at her.

“Shut up.”

“I swear, she said it.”

my eyes dilated in happiness as I finally got a great idea.

“Fuck this, I’m calling mum.” I sat up stretching to get my phone and I dialed her number and laid back down on the bed.

“Rosa.”

“Mum! Kelvin is having sex right now.” I yelled over the phone the moment she called my name. 

“ And I can’t sleep.

Even Olivia can’t sleep, I can’t even…” I sighed pitifully with a short pause.

“We are so miserable cause she keeps screaming and... and moaning and...” 

I paused staring at something on my dressing table. The reason for my anxiety.

The invitation card.

“And I’m gonna leave the house right now.

To a sleep over party a very, very old friend of mine is throwing at his... mmn! Her house.

I didn't wanna go at first, but now I kinda have to.

with or without your permission.”

I said.

Truth is if I said it the way it truly was, A new student without a name... sort of, invited me along side some class mates to party in just a week of him being ar the school.

That's gonna take more than Kelvin sexed up story to allow her let me go.

“Whaat? Hey, let me call you back.” And the call dropped.

Well, It’s settled then!

I threw a jacket over my shoulders and I was ready to go.

“So you’re really leaving me?”

“Yes. Get over it Olivia.

Maybe you can go be the robin to her wonderwoman and save her from being killed by Kelvin.

That is.”

“But wonderwoman doesn’t have a Robin.”

“Oh whatever.” I took my phone and a call came in at once making me drop it down in shock.

Speaking of coincidence.

I took the phone and picked up the call. It was mum.

“Hello… what were you saying earlier?” she asked.

I sighed staying silent for a moment before replying.

“I said Kelvin was having sex and the girl won’t stop screaming so much so that Olivia couldn’t sleep.

And I just happened to remember I was invited for a sleep over party. 

Well, anything to escape being stuck listening to Kelvin having sex for the rest of the night, I'd take it..”

“what? Don’t leave Olivia in that house please, take her with you!

I’ll call Kelvin.”

“What? Take Olivia with meee?

What the hell is that supposed to mean, I said I'm going to a sleepover.

Not a park.

Obviously, not... a... park!” 

“What do you mean, she is your sister!”

“Oh wow.

Sorry mum, there is no chance in hell I’m taking her.

What am I supposed to do with her, babysit her in a party full of my frie… classmates?

Oh no jeez.”

I scoffed not believing mum.

“Dont be like that Rosa!

I’ve always told you to stop being selfish and carry Olivia along in whatever you do.

She is your sister!”

I scoffed and was silent for a moment.

“She is your daughter and it’s your duty not mine.

Selfish you say? That was why you forced me to go babysit her against my will the other day, you didn’t even care if I had changed from my uniform.”

I ended the call and eyed Olivia before walking to the door.

“Hurry, leave my room.

I’m going out.” I opened the door.

The cab stopped by Dash's gate.

And what's inappropriate!

Well, I came down and so did Olivia.

They was a huge bouncer ‘ish' man at the gate.

With a heavy face I walked to the gate and Liv followed behind me.

But I didn’t give her a chance to be clingy, trust me she would've.

I took out my hand from my long jacket's pocket with the invite and gave it to the guy.

“It’s not prohibited to bring a wingman right?” I asked walking in and Liv followed.

“Oh shoot!” I gawped in surprised the moment I entered the gate. Oh shhhit.

It was really a super huge mansion as they said.

The lightings were so beautiful… lightings every where in the garden.

Even in the trees and leaves.

Wow.

A short tiled walk way from the gate to the Mansion, separated the garden in two.

The front door was made of pure glass… they were opened.

Music was coming out from inside, but it was cool and not loud at all.

Seems the party hasn't started yet.

I took in a deep breath and kept walking till I reached the door.

“Wow. Rosa. what is this place?

When are we gonna get to live in a place like this?”

“You better stop being clumsy.

If you like, you can break the doors while walking in.

just know that I can't afford it, so we'd be held prisoners. I'm sure you don't want that.” I muttered.

She scoffed and grabbed on to my hand.

“Stop it!” I snapped my hand off hers. Imagine being forced to bring your younger sister to a highschool party.

So embarrassing.

At that point, I was already considering asking to let us go in separately.

I’m caged in this family. 

Manny's POV

“Throwing party for some bunch of high schoolers.

Classic, I’m the event planner.” I rolled my eyes, expressing my disdain for the 100th time.

“That's…”

“Girlish.” I completed. Dash scoffed.

“Whatever you say.

I can’t go to college cause it’s waaay broader than a mare high school… cause I can’t afford to reveal my identity.

But high school is just so... dad won't even know, to talk of our family enemies.

I’m gonna have the kinda fun I haven’t allowed myself have all my life in highschool.

Because if I don't..." he paused a little. "... after 4 months, I would never get the chance to, I thought you supported me anyway?" he asked. I scoffed.

"This is the only time in my life that my life is not currently being threatened and I ain’t in hiding.” He smirked. 

"came with quite a huge price.

Dad’s away man!” that smile he gave. Actually it lightened up my mood.

“All the enemies are virtually gone… so...

Partying with a bunch of highschoolers is something I’ve never done, no matter how lame I want to know...” he arranged his shirt. “...How it feel?

We good?” he raised his hand and I hesitantly took it.

We walked down the stairs. The house literally looked like a… well a house filled with high schoolers!

Ugh!

Then, two people awkwardly walked in through the front door. A not so tall girl and a shorter one almost her height though.

Hold on? Were they the two girls from… that night??

I stared at Dash surprised. Was he seeing that?

But he wasn’t having any expression on his face. I paused staring at him.

okay, this is no coincidence, is it?

“Fuck.”
