Yvan gave Yuna an ambiguous sidelong glance.

She smiled. "Don't overthink it, Mr. Jenkins. Take it at face value."

"Daisy has been diagnosed with serious depression and anxiety recently. The situation calls for it, so I had to help out," he explained.

Silence hung in the air for a moment.

Yuna remained smiling. "This is your personal matter. You don't have to explain it to me. But I hope you won't pick up the call when my daughter is nearby. She's kinda sensitive."

He explained, "I didn't think about that."

"It wasn't your fault. After all, you have never babysat before." She then looked out of the window.

The air turned icy.

Yvan continued driving. He even sped up along the way home.

Soon, they arrived at Lakewood Estates.

Yuna entered the house as soon as she got out of the car. He followed suit with a gloomy expression.

When he went upstairs, he noticed that she was going to enter the kids' room. He grabbed her hand, frowning. "Your room is next to mine."
