Kathrina POV

"Answer me, Kathrina," my mom said softly, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Um, actually," I paused, becoming speechless again. Maybe it would be better if she didn't know a thing about what I had encountered last night.

"No, mom. I didn't…see a wolf. Those werewolves reside there?" I asked her.

Her shoulders dropped and I watched as she folded the hem of her clothes, shaking her head.

"I can't really say, but like I told you two months ago,your late grandmother told me that,years ago after the horrendous war that broke out between we, humans and werewolves, they signed a peace treaty and stayed in seclusion from the human territories," she paused and sighed.

"Before she passed away, when she last visited, she said that there's a different city that road led to. It was a werewolves city and that's why that road is restricted. But, everyone just believes the road leads to an evil forest."
