109. Hendrik's Rejection 2

Daveina examined the lady's face carefully, her eyebrows knitting as she felt a strange familiarity. "Why do I feel like I know her?" she wondered silently but quickly dismissed the absurd thought. It was highly unlikely that they had ever met, considering the distance between Surabaya and Yogyakarta.

"Call me Aunt Erika," Erika replied softly, then gently caressed Daveina's cheek with the back of her hand.

Daveina quickly excused herself as her phone rang loudly in her bag. She grasped the lady's hand, kissed the back of it, and then left the boutique. Upon arriving at the boutique's parking lot, Daveina couldn't find her car keys. Panic set in, and she was about to re-enter the boutique to search for them when, in her haste, she accidentally bumped into a man. Immediately, Daveina closed her eyes, expecting a sharp rebuke from the man. However, her sense of smell caught a very familiar scent.

"Yo... You?"
