"What are you still doing here, huh?" asked Caraline as she looked at the maids and bodyguards one by one. "Back to work!"

The maids and bodyguards quickly cleaned up their gear and dispersed. The lake area that had been bustling was suddenly silent. Deric also drove the wheelchair towards his residence, passing Caraline without saying anything.

"What did he just do to me? Isn't Deric supposed to thank me or something?" Caraline muttered with her eyes following where Deric's wheelchair went. She ruffled her waist as she tapped the grass with her right foot. "He is an insensitive man."

Caraline rolled her eyes and cleared her throat loudly, hoping that Deric would turn to her. However, until a few seconds passed, the man continued to drive until his body disappeared behind the door of his residence.

Caraline rounded her eyes wide as the door closed from the inside. Her hands reflexively dropped from her waist. "Deric has gone too far. I hope... I hope I can rest easy today."
