Samuel’s POV

There was something about that man that I didn’t trust and I needed to make sure from here on out that I kept Lexie near me. I had noticed his reference to her as royal and princess which leads me to believe that he was like her other side. I wonder if that is what was calling to her the other night when she went into the water and I had to pull her to safety. I knew very little about Lexie’s siren side. It wasn’t like there were clans of them all over the land because their kind kept to the water. Tonight, I needed to make sure that I call my brother and have him look into if one of their clans may be residing here. I needed to do whatever it takes to keep Lexie safe even if that includes my brother and his contacts.

After Rick’s we boarded back onto the catamaran and headed off to sea where we were to watch the sunset from the boat. Lexie and I found a comfortable area aboard where we could have some privacy and watch the sun go down together. As I held Lexie in my

Lexie’s POV Room service arrived and Samuel and I sat and ate our food as we watched the movie. I was beginning to feel better once I got the soup and crackers into me. Samuel had fallen asleep on the couch before the movie was over, but I couldn’t sleep. I grabbed the remote and started to surf through the channels when I came across the nightly news station where they were giving the weather forecast for the rest of the week. Everyday looked good except for Friday which wasn’t too bad for it to only rain once while we were here. Putting the remote down on the table I got up to use the bathroom but as I walked out of the room, I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard his name and quickly moved back to the television to listen. “Mr. Tyler Conner was pronounced dead two days ago at his home in Florida. The wealthy businessman was known for his generous donations that he has made to many organizations and foundations. There is an ongoing investigation into his death, and we will u

Lexie’s POV Soft kisses caress my skin as I wake to warm arms wrapped around me. My eyes slowly open and I smile as soon as I see Samuel. “Good morning my love.” Samuel says to me and I love hearing him call me his love. I move my nose to his as I snuggle it against his and say, “Good morning to you, my mate.” Which earned me a playful growl and then a playful kiss as our hands roamed each other’s naked flesh beneath the sheet. “I could stay in bed with you all day.” Samuel said as he began to kiss my neck and I began to giggle. “That would be nice, but I was thinking we could go house hunting today.” I tell him and he stops kissing my neck and looks at me. “Wait, are you serious?” He asks me and I can see excitement in his eyes. “Yes, I am serious. There is nothing I want to go back home for. Everything I could ever want is here.” I tell him and he tightens his arms around me and pulls me into him kissing

Samuel’s POV When my phone went off and I saw it was Xavier, I quickly excused myself so that I could talk to him in private hoping he had the information I had asked him for, but when I answer the phone he asked, “What the hell have you done?” “Well hello to you too brother.” I said back to him sarcastically. “For real Samuel. What have you done?” Xavier asks again. “I think you’re going to have to be a little more specific.” I told him because I honestly had no clue what he was talking about. “You bought a house in Jamaica?” He asked finally asks and I chuckled. “You seriously called me upset because I bought a house in Jamaica? It’s my money so I don’t understand why you are so upset.” I tell him, wondering why this has his panties in a bunch. “I honestly don’t care what you do with your money but what I do care about is the fact that you have Tyler’s mate with you and I am wondering if you plan on returning with her.” Xavier says and I leave out a deep growl causing

Tyler’s POV I had gotten word from my father that Chase was dead. Relief flooded through me knowing now that Lexie and I could finally be together. I began to pack my belongings to head to Jamaica to tell Lexie the good news when my sister entered the room. “Are you heading home?” Emily asked as she moved to sit on the bed. “No, I am heading to Jamaica to make Lexie officially mine.” I told her and I thought she would be excited for me but instead she said, “You can’t go there.” “And why can’t I?” I asked her confused. “Because Lexie.” She stopped and I began to get worried, and I quickly asked, “Is Lexie alright?” “Yeah, she is alright. She just, I don’t know how to tell you this.” Emily said and I could tell that what she was about to tell me I wasn’t going to like. “She just what?” I asked as I threw the shirt down in my hand onto the bed. “Lexie is mated to Samuel.” Emily said really quickly like she was trying to just say it and I found myself having to hold onto t

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 65

Lexie’s POV I must have fallen into a deep slumber cause when I had woke, I was in the king size bed in the bedroom and night was upon us. The sound of running water came from the bathroom and I knew that Samuel must be in the shower. I began to hear a buzzing sound and turned to Samuel’s side of the bed to see his phone on the nightstand lit up. Quickly I moved to his side and picked up the phone to see that Xavier was calling. “Hello.” I said answering the phone. “Lexie. I am so glad I got ahold of you. Xavier told me everything and I wanted to call and congratulate you.” Emily said to me, and I realized that I was a horrible friend for not telling her but on the other hand she kept that Tyler had passed from me. “Thanks. I’m sorry I didn’t call you, but I somehow lost my phone.” I told her, hoping she understood. “It’s all good. I just wanted to make sure that my maid of honor will be coming home for the wedding. Plus of course Xavier’s best man too.” Emily now says and I

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 66

Lexie’s POV The week went by fast as we enjoyed the last few days at the resort. Samuel had received a call from the realtor that the house was completed and that he would meet up later with us today to sign the final papers and hand us the keys to our new house. It almost felt like Samuel and I were on our honeymoon and that in two days we would be in our new home starting our life together as a couple. As I laid on the beach bed, I watched a wedding happening on the beach, I felt a bit of jealousy hit me. I had always wanted a wedding and I know that Samuel’s kind don’t believe in marriage even though his brother is doing it for Emily and Samuel had never mentioned it to me, so I wasn’t going to be the one to ask him. But as I watched the young couple make their vows to one another I felt a ping in my heart knowing that I will never get to make those vows. Drops of warm water began to hit my flesh and I looked up to see a wet Samuel standing over me with a big smile on his fac

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 67

Lexie’s POV As Samuel held my hand tight, we walked over the threshold that felt like we were in a different world. Had we gotten the address wrong? This looked like some frat party mixed with an orgy and people were making out everywhere. I froze when I saw the dining room table as naked women were sprawl out on it like they were the main course while men sat in the chair devouring them. Samuel then pulled me closer to him as if he could sense I was uncomfortable and pulled me deeper into the house until we reached the kitchen area where Jacob was. As soon as Jacob saw me, he said, “Princess, you made it.” “Jacob what is this?” I asked him confused. I had thought that I was having dinner with his mother and other sirens not a freaking sex orgy party. Jacob began to look around before he said, “This is how our people dine.” Was he serious? This was their idea of dining. “You can’t be serious.” I said to him as I looked around the room at everyone making out and literally hav

Stephen’s POV “You had one job little brother and that was to keep the dog away while I sealed the deal with the princess.” I barked at my brother as we placed Samuel into a cell in the basement. It took ten of my men to put him down and a needle to his neck of wolfbane to stop him. He was definitely stronger than we anticipated and I hoped that the cell could hold him. “You need to get going and seal the ritual before night’s end.” My mother said once again barking orders to me. “Is she awake yet?” I asked my mother. “No but does it matter?” She then asked and anger built up inside of me. “Yes, it matters. I will not take it without consent. She is my mate and she felt it right before the damn dog got in the way.” I explained to my mother. “So, if she doesn’t wake, you will wait another month?” My mother now asks with sarcasm. “If she doesn’t wake then yes, we will have to wait till next month.” I say as I turn and walk up the steps to my bedroom where I know Lexie is i

Lexie’s POV One could say I was a bit nervous as I was to say my vows once again. This time things were a bit different than the last time and this time I had my best friend by my side as I waited for the wedding to start. Xavier then entered the room I was waiting in with Emily and quickly moved to her, placing his hand on her now extremely large belly. “How are you feeling?” He asked her concerned that she was ready to pop at any moment. She swatted his hand away and said to him, “I am not having this baby until I see my best friend marry my brother.” Xavier chuckled at her and then gave her a kiss before he turned to me and said, “I am happy for you today and I know that my brother is happy to see you are happy once again too. Tyler and Samuel may not have seen eye to eye on a lot of things, but the one thing that the both of them agreed on was that you were the one for them.” I could feel tears starting to pool behind my lids and Emily says to Xavier, “Get out of here before

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 124

Lexie’s POV After my talk with Emily, I headed home to my empty house. Pulling into the driveway with only the motion senser light turning on to my arrival and then opening a locked door with no one waiting on the other side to greet me, made me realize how alone in this world I really was. Laying my purse on the counter I walked over and slumped onto my couch with a million things now running through my head. Maybe Emily shouldn’t have told me about Tyler’s situation, like he asked her not to. I had been fine before all of this. I was beginning to be able to function normally in this world on my own. I was on my way to recovering and now I am sitting here thinking about him, trying to convince myself that I am happy all in this world alone without him. Yes, the last couple months had been rough, but I made it through them without him. I didn’t need him in my life and I was perfectly happy without him in it, I kept telling myself, but my heart began to ache the more I thought ab

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 123

Lexie’s POV Today was a huge milestone as it has been two months now on my own without Derrick by my side and I have been taking baby steps daily towards my old lifestyle. Each day has been a challenge for me but I have been trying to be positive moving forward in my life. It has also been months since I have talked to Tyler and I had met up with Lena and Emily a few times for lunch, but Lena seemed a little bit standoffish towards me and I don’t blame her. I knew she and Tyler were trying to make their marriage work even though that is what she had run from in the first place, but I could tell that she had resentment towards me, and I had no clue why. I had stayed away from Tyler not wanting to interfere in their relationship and I thought I was doing the right thing by doing so. Lena was my sister, there was no doubt about that but the two of us had been raised so differently that we really didn’t have much in common, unlike her and Emily. I had been asked many times to go sho

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 122

Lexie’s POV I watched as the real Lena walked directly to Tyler wrapping her arms around him and I could see the happiness in her eyes from being with him. It was a happiness that I used to have long ago when the two of us were together. “Lena, I want to introduce your twin sister to you, Lexie.” Tyler said to her and she turned my way like she hadn’t noticed me when she walked up to Tyler. “Wow, Tyler wasn’t kidding when he said we looked identical. I’m sorry where are my manners, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you. You will have to forgive my hesitation to embrace you, after what I have been through with our family. I hope that we can get to know one another, and I can find it in me to trust you. Tyler told me what happened to all of you on the island and I am sorry for your loss.” I knew exactly what she meant by having to find it in her to trust me because I also had the same feeling inside of me after what I had been through. “Don’t feel sorry for the way you feel, I hav

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 121

Lexie’s POV It’s now been a month since we returned from Boracay and still no word from Tyler and I am beginning to worry that something has happened to him too. The walls of the packhouse are starting to feel like a prison and I don’t know how much longer I can stay here. The only time I have left the pack lands is when Emily takes me to see a psychiatrist. After one of my breakdowns, Emily decided it would be a good idea to seek help for me with everything I had been through. Of course, the psychiatrist was a wolf and I could talk freely with her about what really happened. At first, we focused on the deaths of the twins and Samuel but then moved on to my fear of people shapeshifting, which seemed to be my biggest fear. Unfortunately, the treatments weren’t working so well and it was due to the amount of trauma I had been through in such a short period of time. I had no clue if I would ever live a normal life after everything I had seen. Derrick was once again assigned to me

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 120

Lexie’s POV Today was the second hardest day of my life laying Samuel to rest between his twin brother and our twins. Sophia didn’t blame me for her son’s death but welcomed me with open arms to their family. Even though Samuel’s family held no ill will against me for his death, I still felt the guilt on my shoulders. As Samuel’s celebration of life gathering happens, I sit in the corner of the room with my head down not knowing exactly if I belonged here. Yes, we were celebrating the life he lived and I was certainly a part of that life, but I felt out of place now among the wolves without him by my side. It had been a full week that I have been here at the packhouse and Emily has done her best to be by my side, but I feel so lost being here in Samuel’s room alone. Each day that passes I ask Emily if she has heard anything from Tyler and each day it is the same response of no. I had promised Tyler before I left the island that I would stay at the packhouse for my safety, but th

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 119

Lexie’s POV When Tyler and Xavier emerged from the packhouse I thought it was all over with but I was so wrong, by the look on their faces. Quickly, I stood up from the step I was sitting on as they walked towards me. I knew I had to look like a hot mess after all the crying I have been doing but I could care less. “What is it?” I asked them, wanting to know why they had the look on their faces that they had. Tyler shook his head, not able to say what needed to be said, which left Xavier to tell me, “It’s about Lena.” “What about Lena?” I asked him, confused as I looked up at the door to the house like she was going to walk out of it. “That wasn’t Lena I just killed in the house.” Xavier tells me and I furrow my eyebrows at him confused at what he is telling me. “Then who was it?” I asked him wanting to know who it could have possibly had been if it wasn’t Lena. “We don’t know who she was but we know it wasn’t Lena.” Xavier says and I start shaking my head not understand

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 118

Lexie’s POV “Derrick, is everyone okay?” I asked him as I looked at the gate to the packhouse. “Lexie, you shouldn’t be here, its not fully secured yet.” Derrick tells me and I begin to worry what is happening behind that broken down gate. “Have they found Xavier?” I asked him, hoping he would at least know that to tell me. “Yes, he was being held in one of the cabins on the property. He is with Tyler and they are securing the area as we speak.” Derrick told me and I felt a bit of relief wash over me but there was still the fact that I hadn’t heard from Samuel yet. “What about Samuel and my family?” I asked him and I noticed a change in his posture when I mentioned Samuel. “Lexie, I think it would be best if Xavier talks to you.” Derrick says to me and the pain that was there last night overtook me and I knew in my heart that it had to do with Samuel. “I want to speak with Xavier now.” I told Derrick and he began to shake his head no to me. Before he could say a word, I

  • Immortal Hunger   Chapter 117

Lexie’s POV It wasn’t quite morning when I heard Tyler’s voice talking to someone and as I listened, I realized that his men had arrived. Rolling over in the bed I watched him as he was giving the man on the other end of the line orders. He was in his element and he was used to people listening to him, unlike myself. Tyler looked over at the bed and he saw my eyes on him and he quickly finished the call as he walked over to the bed to me. With a groggy morning voice, I asked him, “What time is it?” “It’s almost four am. Why don’t you go back to sleep and I will wake you later.” Tyler said to me as he sat on the edge of the bed and ran his fingers through my hair and I closed my eyes relishing his gentle touch. I knew it was wrong of me to love the feel of it but my body was craving him and what he was doing was innocent or at least that was what I was telling myself. “Will you hold me in your arms again till I fall back to sleep.” I asked him as I curled up in the blanket.
