Chapter 709 Don't Worry About It

Jean gazed at Tyler seriously. "I'm not sure why, but I don't feel as grounded as I did in Faulkland, even though everything here is familiar," she said while biting the corner of her lip.

During her time in Faulkland, Jean didn't understand the spoken language, yet she felt much more secure there.

Tyler paused, his hand still on the menu. "You want to go back to Faulkland? We could settle there if you want," he suggested.

Jean jolted at Tyler's words.

She then shook her head and replied, "No, I want to stay in Henkel."

Jean added in a low voice, "Though I can't remember much, this is where I grew up. Faulkland isn't my hometown, after all."

Knowing Jean was distressed, Tyler gently cupped her hand in his palm. "I'm here. If you're uncomfortable with anything, feel free to talk to me. Don't make assumptions on your own," he said softly.
