Chapter 53 Fifty-two

“Mate,“ Damien called back.

Damien stared at Aria as the shock was still very evident on his face. It felt too good to he true. He had never thought that he would hear her say it this soon. Just this morning, he had been angry with her and now, all the anger had melted away.

Aria smiled in relief. The burning sensation seemed to come ease a bit. She felt as if a huge burden which she had been dragging around all along had been lifted from her chest. The burning pain was still there but she could ignore it. This was mostly because of the new feeling deep within her.

It first began like it was not there but the closer he got, the stronger the feeling got. It was a mixture of electricity and a warning sensation. It was a mixture of nervousness and lust. It was a mixture of want and longing. She had never felt this way before her entire life. It felt new and different. Was it perhaps the mate bond that she had been waiting to feel? Or was it something else?

She lifted herse
