The crowd is going wild, we can hear them from the locker rooms. We’re in our gear and ready to go. My nerves are tingling with excitement and anticipation. I love game night, like it’s part of my DNA. It’s all I’ve ever wanted since I was a kid. And here I am now about to go on the rink and play for the Stanley Cup plays offs. I don’t why this one means more to me than when we were in Dallas. I mean, you’d think playing against the team I am being drafted to would count a whole lot more. But here in Vancouver my adrenaline is pumping. Hell, we’re all over excited like pups going out for a walk.

Coach comes to the center of our locker room, I have to give it to the home team they do have a nice space. The lockers aren’t your average metal ones, they’re all pine wood, the floors are non-slip tiles, and the showers are spacious. We sure have good space back home, but this looks like it’s just had some kind of face lift.
