I always believed things happened for a reason, good or bad; it was only a matter of time before one got to find out the outcome.

I parked my car at the school parking lot and got out, getting ready for another day of boring activities in school, but nah, I'd survive.

Upon exiting the vehicle, I was met with a strangely recognizable face.

He grinned as though he had just figured out the most challenging riddle ever. My eyes glazed over him.

"Shit! It is you, I knew it. I could never be wrong. Kai! It's so good to see you again!" Clambering, he threw his arms around me in an embrace before I could even respond.

I wriggled free of his arms, which were more powerful than they looked. He looked at me as if I had hurt him when I managed to free myself from his grip.
