Emma took her food tray from a pretty woman at the counter and looked around for an empty seat, in the cafeteria. She wanted to sit alone this time but the cafeteria was already full of students. Rhonda had already gone to eat from a restaurant nearby. Andre, her old friend, was already sitting beside Stephen. Looking carefully, she realized that the chair next to Andre was empty. She quickly ran and sat on it.
Stephen looked at her shocked, as she sat beside Andre, not him. Andre looked at her surprised. He looked first at her and then at Stephen.
Emma understood how exactly Andre must have felt about but ever since she heard the audio recording from Agent Wilson's cellphone, she felt hurt. Though she agreed to be in touch with Stephen, her heart didn't want to do it. She couldn't explain this to anyone so she decided to keep quiet for now.
"Ok, did you both argue?" Andre asked.
"No!" they said together.<
Stephen did not come to school the next morning but he messaged Emma and his friends that he won't come to school. He was helping his mother with the evening's party.Emma had not opened his gift yet. She did not want to go to his party but she wanted to know why Stephen came into her life. The audio recording she heard over Agent's Wilson's phone shocked her. It was a conversation between two vampires and it seemed to her that one of them knew she was the descendant of the original Phoenix. He told the other vampire that his Lord Stephen recognized her the moment he saw her.Emma was deeply hurt after hearing this conversation. She now understood why Stephen kept looking at her. She wanted to know why he was playing with her feelings. Perhaps the real question she wanted to ask was what was he expecting from her. She wanted to know what made him play with her emotions. She knew she wasn't good looking enough for him but the thought that he wanted to play w
Rhonda and Emily finally reached Stephen's much talked about home. Though Emma was still nervous, she still kept going ahead to know the truth. She wanted to know what exactly were Stephen's plans for her. Rhonda stopped the car in front of the huge iron gates. Two men, who wore a navy blue uniform stepped forward and tapped on Rhonda's window. "Name of the guest?" asked one of the men in uniform. 'So muscular! He looks too bulky to be a security guard. He looks like a wrestler.'thought Emma as she looked outside. "This is Emma Smith. She is the guest and I am her bodyguard," replied Rhonda. The guard with dark curly hair checked a list and nodded his head. The other guard who wore a cap on his head opened the gate
Agent Wilson stood in the corner of the main hall. He wore a grey wig and was sporting a typical French beard. He wore a white shirt and black trousers just like the other waiters. He kept looking at the entrance. Usually, he was not someone who would do undercover. He did go on undercover operations ten years back but after that, he completely stopped it. His previous partner had done regularly unlike him. He felt irritated as he walked around.'Damn thosegirls, when are they going to come?'he thought as he looked at the door."Excuse me handsome, could you give me another glass of vodka." said a girl, who appeared out of nowhere, in front of him. She pushed her long, curly, blonde hair back and looked at him, straight into his eyes."I am sorry
Nicholae laughed as he came closer to Emma. She looked at the vampire in front of her shocked. Emma didn't expect to meet him here. She remembered how a vampire sacrificed his life to save her from this vampire. Now she stood alone away from everyone in front of this strong vampire. The sword was no longer with her and without it, she was absolutely powerless. She wondered if now was the time for her to leave this world."I left Gregory in the kitchen. He wouldn't have let me kill you," said Nicholae as he continued to walk inside the room.Emma began to walk backwards as Nicholae came closer. She looked at her left and right to see if there was any way for her to escape."It doesn't have to be this way. I don't want to use my powers. I want to be a doctor." said Emma.
Tears began to fall from Emma's eyes. Everything was clear to her now. She had once trusted Stephen and he betrayed her but she did not know that Rhonda too was helping him. The photograph in the secret room proved that Rhonda and Stephen knew each other very well. They both wanted to kill Gregory and show Emma that they were on her side but they intended to use her against the most feared vampire Vlad Tepes."Emma, what are you saying?" croaked Stephen."You planned all this, didn't you? You, Rhonda and this vampire, Gregory?" said Emma."No Emma, I am not involved with them. I came here to teach them a lesson," said Rhonda."Lies, I saw a photo of you with him. Guess what Agent, it was exactly like a family photograph."
It was a hot sunny day but Prince Stephen of Moldavia strolled the garden leisurely in his garden. He had worn a dark blue, long, full-body robe and flaring sleeves. Underneath he wore a red velvet jacket and a hose. Though he felt very hot, he still wanted to have a peaceful walk in his garden. He just came back from a war and he wanted to stay alone for a few days. He knew that the nobles would soon rush to him and he would go back into the affairs of Moldavia. As he looked around, he saw a man sitting beside a small pond. Apart from his green robes, the rest of his clothes were similar to Stephen. He walked closer to this man and realized that it was his uncle Peter."Uncle Peter, what brings you here today?" asked Stephen. The man turned and looked at him surprised. Uncle Peter was
Emma sat beside Agent Wilson, as he drove his car. They did not speak to each other after leaving the Tepes Mansion. For once in her life, she had thought she finally met someone, who liked her and saw her much beyond looks. Unfortunately, the audio recording she heard through Agent Wilson's phone proved something else. Moreover whatever was revealed tonight at his house made her realize that he never really liked her.Her entire body was heavy and she was tired. She wasn't sleepy but she felt uneasy. Even though she was away from Stephen, she still kept remembering his face. She remembered the day he met her and the way he behaved with her. Every bit of the memories hurt her but she tried her best to control her feelings. She didn't want Agent Wilson to see her this broken now. The traffic signal turned red and the agent had to stop his car. He looked at Emma, who sat quietly and looked
Although Emma wasn't really happy, a part of her felt glad that she would no longer have to stick around Stephen now. Stephen's mother herself admitted that they entered Emma's life hoping that she would fight and win against another vampire. This powerful vampire had made Stephen and his mother an outcast and they wanted to seek revenge from him using Emma's powers. She was so hurt about this that she cried on the way home and Agent Wilson had to stop the car to console her. Nevertheless, she later decided not to ponder much on it and move on without remembering anything about her past. The first thing Emma did after coming back home was to apologize to her father. Mr Smith sat in front of the television watching a reality show. Emma's mother too sat beside him but did not say anything much. Nancy had already gone to bed. Emma spoke softly to her father hoping he wouldn't burst out in an
