There has been an attack on Jacob's residence that killed many victims, including Jacob himself. Currently the police are evacuating the bodies of the deceased at Jacob's house, which is suspected to be most of Jacob's men and several servants who worked at the businessman's house. However, until now the police have not found the body of Jacob's daughter, according to the testimony of one of the servants who managed to escape, when the attack took place, Jacob's daughter was hiding in the back garden.

Aiden pressed hard on the television remote while glancing at the young woman who still closed her eyes peacefully on his brown bed. Finally today his new work officially started. But he doesn't know whether his job this time will be easy or difficult, because he still needs a lot of information regarding the Jacob’s family beyond the unilateral information provided by President Moon. Moreover, he also felt strange about the old man. It was as if there was something odd about the look in his eyes, but he couldn't be sure what exactly it was.
"Ugh... Father...."
Aiden stared blankly at Calistha's movement on his bed while anticipating the next things that would happen. At least she would have screamed for the first time when she found out that she was now in an unfamiliar place. After that she will scream to be released, or at worst she will attack him with a female indiscriminate attack. Tsk, Aiden already knows too well how the reactions of the women. His wild life that is never separated from women makes him learn a lot from them.
"Are you one of my father's men?" Calistha shouted softly at Aiden while occasionally massaging her dizzy temples.
Meanwhile, Aiden looked surprised to see the calm reaction shown by Calistha as he approached the woman with calm steps.
"No."
"Then? You were one of the people who attacked my house last night?” asked Calistha getting wary. Instantly her brown eyes widened, and she immediately inched backwards away from Aiden's body that seemed to dominate in front of her.
"No. I'm more than that."
“Why did you bring me here? I want to go home," said Calistha slowly with a bitter tone.
Her consciousness slowly began to gather perfectly, and now she remembered all the terrible events that happened at her house last night. The sound of broken glass, gunshots, the sound of humans physically fighting each other, then the sound of screaming. All of that now began to swirl in her mind until it created a tremendous fear in her heart.
"Where to? Do you think you still have a place to live after what happened last night?”
Aiden suddenly grabbed his television remote and turned on the square object so that soon Calistha could see a collection of pictures that began to show the process of evacuating the dead at her house. There, she saw her house full of police lines and uniformed men busy carrying so many bags which she thought contained the bodies of her father's men. Instantly Calistha jumped down from Aiden's brown bed when the television showed a picture of her father's body that had been put in a yellow bag.
"Father! Tell me that everything I see right now is a lie!” shouted Calistha wept bitterly.
She didn't think that her short time with her father would end like this. Even last night she had not come to her father's study to discuss an important matter that her father wanted to say. Regret always comes at the end. That's the emotion that Calistha is currently experiencing that she hates herself so much. She shouldn't have fought her father, she should have gone to her father, and she shouldn't have been constantly resenting her father for something that was clearly for her own good. Ever since her father gave her training schedule and unilaterally terminated her studies, she has been blaming him all the time, hating him for bringing too much hassle into her life. But if it ends up like this, she vows that she will never hate her father and will do whatever her father wanted, as long as her father stays by her side to accompany her to become the successor of her family.
“Are you done crying over your father's death? Come on, he's not coming back either." Aiden said flatly without feeling.
For him death is something very common, and often happens in his life. Death, is something that always comes and goes like the seasons, always certain, but unpredictable how the process, even the end.
“I want to see my father. Take me to my father," said Calistha with a sad cry. The woman chose to hug her own knees in front of Aiden's black television which no longer broadcast news of her father's death.
"You can't go anywhere. Right now it's the only safe place."
"I don’t care. I'd rather die and follow my father."
"Hah..." Aiden chuckled at the words full of frustration and emotion that just came out of Calistha's quivering lips. She thought her life would end so easily if she showed herself right now in front of everyone who was looking for her? It was the most ridiculous thought Aiden had ever heard. Calistha must have no idea how many people out there want her alive rather than her dead.
“You think you will die so easily? Tch, don't ever think about that. If they find you, you'll just be a lowly woman forced to tell your father's big secret. This world is crueler than you think.”
“I don't know anything about my father's secret. He had even died before telling me all his secrets,” replied Calistha gulping in her place. Right now her mind was completely deadlocked because everything Aiden said made sense to her mind. Now she must be wanted by many because she is the sole inheritor of all her father's possessions. But she swear, she didn't even know anything about her father's assets other than the television station she had wanted for a long time.
“Then you should find out, because your current position is really very difficult. Like it or not, you have to keep looking for the treasures that have been hidden by your father. And oh... did you know that your father was a mobster?”
Aiden smiled mockingly when he saw the look on Calistha's face that conveyed an intense surprise. He had expected that a spoiled woman like Calistha would never know anything about her father's dark life. Well, that's natural because all fathers just want their daughters to be happy. But if it was fate that pushed him to know it all, what was all that life of luxury for? In fact, everything that Calistha has gotten so far will only be bullshit that will make Calistha's own life miserable in the future. Like now, Calistha is completely unprepared and instead looks like an idiot after her father died very tragically without telling her, his true dark life.
“My father… mobster? Impossible! My father is a businessman with various properties around the world. Don't you try to lie to me! Do you want my father's treasure too? I will definitely give some of my father's property to you, but please help me. Take me to my father."
“Well, it was quite tempting, but not worth the risk I had to take. You will never go anywhere Calistha, because out there you will never be safe.”
“Please let me go. Please. I don't want to be here, I want to see my father." Calistha pleaded with a pitiful face.
After she calmed down a bit and got her emotions under control, she tried to negotiate with Aiden to let her go. But it looks like it's not easy because Aiden is clearly not going to let her go. Aiden must carry out his job as a guard for Calistha, as well as find out the places that Jacob used to hide all his valuable stolen treasures. But when he saw how Calistha was in real condition, he became unsure. How could that woman lead him to all of his father's possessions if she didn't know her father's dark identity. After this he had to go to president Moon and tell the old man this directly so he wouldn't be pushed to keep dealing with a troublesome woman like Calistha.
“For now your place is only here, you can't go anywhere. You better eat, or clean up if you want. I have to go."
Aiden glanced briefly at the pizza box he placed on his nightstand. He hoped that Calistha wasn't a spoiled woman with a lot of requests for food because he couldn't possibly provide a luxurious menu like what she had gotten so far. At least a box of pizza was much better than the cheesy treats he usually gave his captives. Well, but Calistha wasn't his captives. The woman is his responsibility now.
With moderate speed Aiden ran his car through the quiet streets of Seoul. After cruising about thirty minutes from his secluded house, he finally arrived in downtown Seoul to meet president Moon. He had to immediately ask the man's next plan after he managed to save Calistha from the masked people who broke into her house last night. But if he think about it, last night was a pretty gruesome assault. Before accepting this mission he never thought that he would infiltrate the middle of a war that was going on at Jacob's house. Moreover, last night he really did not use any weapons. He was only limited to watching Calistha from a distance, and after seeing Calistha began to tremble with fear, he immediately dragged the woman out of her chaotic house after he managed to sedate Calistha with his concoction drugs. It was a great first experience. His adrenaline pumped fast to carry out the next task from President Moon. Arriving at President Moon's private house, Aiden immediatel
Krieett The sound of the door opening slowly made Calistha's thoughts suddenly break. The woman then looked up while giving Aiden a faint smile. "You haven't eaten since a while ago." Aiden glanced annoyed that the box of pizza he had provided for Calistha was still intact beside the woman. Even though he had been kind enough to give her proper food, Calistha was too proud to accept what other people gave her. "I’m not hungry. I want to see my father. Has my father been buried?” "He has. Follow me." With a head motion, Aiden asked Calistha to come down to the living room. He wants to talk about the mysterious box that President Moon gave him. "What is it?" "You know that box?" Calistha shook her head slightly while looking closely at the box. This was the first time she had seen a box with such intense engraving and color. "It's your father's, he wants you to open it." "My father? You met him?” C
“Aiden, lots of police lines, but why is it so quiet in there?” Calistha looks restless while looking at her house which looks dark from a distance. Right now they were lurking from afar to make sure the house was safe to come in. However, Aiden felt a little strange about the condition of Calistha's house, which seemed deserted, even though there should have been many policemen on guard to secure the things that were still left inside."We're moving now. Save this just in case. Remember the shooting lesson I taught you this afternoon.""Aiden, wa-wait."Calistha suddenly grabbed Aiden's shoulder as he was about to step out of his car. With a sharp glance Aiden gave a code to Calistha for the woman to immediately lower her hand from his shoulder.“What if something bad happened in there? My legs still hurt, I can't run fast."“Do whatever you can. If you fail, you will die,” replied Aiden flatly and immediately stepped
Aiden glanced at the peaceful face of Calistha who was fast asleep beside him. The woman finally closed her eyes after crying for a long time at her father's funeral. Losing someone you love so much is hard, and it's lucky he never felt that way. He had always been used to living hard on the streets. He has no family. In fact, he forgot. He don't know, actually there was a part of his life that was missing, but he couldn't remember when and how exactly. What he remembers is his life after being found unconscious on the streets, then he wanders with the bad guys on the streets who teach him to survive. It had been a long time since he had remembered his own life like this. The piled up work and missions make him always forget his past memories. But his new mission this time actually gave his brain a chance to remember a small part of his past. And it was all because of the spoiled woman beside him. Today they have gone through many unexpected and stressful things, especially
Calistha continued to wring her fingers nervously while glancing at the silhouette of the mini market that had disappeared from her sight. She felt someone had been stalking her in the mini market. What's more, she saw that there was an old man who— ever since she entered the mini market, had been watching her movements through his dark glasses. But she thought it was all just part of her fear because of the various terrible events that had recently haunted her life. As much as possible at this time she tried to calm her mind that kept raging while holding the shopping bag containing their food tightly. "What's wrong with you?" Calistha opened her eyes wildly when Aiden suddenly grabbed her right hand and made the package she was holding just fall under her feet. With a wrinkled forehead, the man felt Calistha's cold skin tremble while occasionally glancing at Calistha's face, which looked still pale. "Are you cold?" Aiden pressed the heating button o
In the dimly lit room, President Moon was having a serious conversation with Luca. The man was a from London and had long worked with President Moon, then of course with Jacob. "Everything's been messed up since Jacob's death, do you have any plans, Mr President?" "Me? I don’t have any idea. All I can do now is order Aiden to protect Calistha while searching for Jacob's precious treasures. Right now we can't take over everything because even Jacob's lawyer doesn't even have any securities from all of his assets. So the only way to save all of Jacob's assets is to get his daughter to look for all of her father's inheritance on her own. Then what about all his assets in the United Kingdom? Is it safe?” "So far it's under control. But, began to occur turmoil in Scotland. The news of Jacob's death had been known by several people, so they began to devise a plan to take the treasures for their own personal gain. Are you sure Aiden can keep Calistha until all the r
Aiden narrowed his eyes for a moment as he studied what really happened in Bukchon village. It seems that Jacob is a very influential person in this village, so everyone is also saddened by his death. Even some people were seen crying while reciting prayers that he didn't know what the contents were. During his life he never prayed, because according to him there was no God. All of the lives that he had lived so far were completely under his control, so if anything bad happened to him, it would be purely because of his fault."Let's pray like them."Calistha immediately took a seat on a bench not far from where she was standing. She then immediately clasped her hands in front of her chest, then closed her eyes peacefully to join in praying for her father's spirit. As for Aiden, he was only a spectator among dozens of Bukchon residents who were fervently praying around him. Even now Calistha has also been dissolved in her prayers along with all the residents of Bukchon
Calistha never thought that the nightmare after her father's death would be this terrible. Surviving in the midst of the war that was going on between her and those she didn't know made Calistha feel that her life might not last long. Even now she could only cower in fear behind an iron door that towered over the backyard of her father's villa. While Aiden seemed to be far from her while continuing to point the muzzle of his deadly gun at their enemies who were quite a lot. This battle was clearly outnumbered, but she didn't have the slightest doubt about Aiden's ability to shoot their enemies because in fact the man had succeeded in overthrowing most of them, even though he had only faced it alone. The stiff bodies covered in blood slowly began to fall scattered around the dark villa courtyard in various gruesome forms. And when one of the corpses was suddenly thrown around Calistha's hiding place, the woman almost screamed hysterically before her trembling hands managed to
The little boy was about ten years old. He walked hand in hand with his parents with happy faces radiating from both of them. This vacation became a vacation that little Aiden would never forget because his parents who were always busy were finally able to take their time to travel for three days on a trip to Jeju Island. When he saw such an amazing sight, Aiden occasionally whined at his mother to ask for a photo. Or if he saw an ice cream truck in the vicinity of a tourist spot, he would nag at his father to buy him an ice cream. Aiden's life at the age of ten is still running very normally like the lives of children in general. Nothing strange, and Aiden himself never had any inkling if his beautiful life would soon be snatched away by the irresponsible people around him. “Today we will have business trip to Bukchon temple.” Mrs. Lee guided her son patiently up the steps one by one that would lead them to the great temple in Bukchon village. Aiden looked enthusiastic as he climb
Calistha and Aiden immediately met resistance from the presidential security forces when they insisted on entering to meet President Moon. Aiden who saw all his men who now turned to attack him became furious. He was then forced to fight them one by one with Calistha who seemed really wanted to kill anyone who bravely had made her life so devastated like this. And the firefight was unavoidable, they were both forced to use violent means to break through the presidential security forces to meet the cunning president Moon. "There are only a few of them, but after this a company of presidential guards will definitely come," said Aiden while looking at his victims which were lying helplessly on the floor with blood pooling everywhere. Calistha who saw that just raised her eyebrows briefly and didn't seem to care about all the corpses. To her the attack on her home was far more horrific than this. They even killed her innocent servants. She vowed to avenge all the deaths of innocent peop
Those fingers painstakingly treated the wounds lodged in Aiden's skin one by one while occasionally frowning deeply when she felt she was pressing the wounds too hard. Calistha looked so concerned about the wounds that Aiden had all over his body. The man's handsome face is now also covered with bluish bruises with torn wounds on the right cheekbone and left temple, all of which make Calistha feel very bad for the man. "Why are you just silent, don't you feel hurt?" asked Calistha in amazement. She even felt pain just by looking at the bruises that were lodged all over Aiden's body. Luckily today they are not late to go to Seoul, and this plane has a fairly complete first aid facility. “I'm used to getting wounds like this, you don't have to worry. After this I will treat your wounds as well.” Calistha suddenly remembered the stinging pain in her arms, calves, and cheeks. Earlier she had gotten a few blows from Emily, plus Emily's men had interfered in their problems. "What about
“Tsk, they seem to have anticipated a hack. They have put in layers of protection." Malfoy huffed in annoyance as he kept trying to find loopholes to get into the government's information system. The site had been denying the various accesses he had used, even though he had used even the most sophisticated methods. But Malfoy believes if the site can still be opened, it's just that he needs a little patience to infiltrate the website. "There must be another way to open it." “It is, but we have to be a little patient.” "How, can't you hack it too?" From the kitchen, Calistha suddenly came with three cans of beer and a plate of pastries to serve to Malfoy. After placing the tray containing their food, Calistha immediately took a seat across from the sofa that Aiden was sitting on while looking at the two men in front of her in turn. "After Malfoy manages to hack a government site, what are we going to do?" "We're flying to South Korea today at three in the morning?" "Why so sudd
“Quickly get on the ship! Come on! Don't look back, quickly leave this village!” Priest Seulwo shouted loudly at the few remaining Bukchon villagers. Most of those who boarded the ship were women and children. The men of Bukchon chose to live in the village of Bukchon which was about to be destroyed by president Moon. He had sent some heavy equipment to level the village of Bukchon and removed all the buildings standing on it. “Where are we going? What if they follow us?” “They will not follow us because they have got what they want. We will go to Seoul and find some help.” Priest Seulwo replied firmly and immediately ordered his men to run the ship, away from the village of Bukchon which had been ravaged by miserly rulers. Priest Seulwo had always believed that Jacob's death would have such a devastating impact. He saw many rebellions that occurred after Jacob's death, and his daughter was also reported missing after being hunted by more than a dozen people who wanted all of his
Emily clenched her fists tightly as she cursed over and over at today's humiliating failure. She thought Calistha was a weak woman who couldn't possibly be able to fight her. But it turns out that all this time she had been tricked by Calistha who always pretended to be weak in front of everyone. “Luca is awake.” Emily immediately turned to her men and nodded in understanding. It's okay she failed to kill Calistha today. She still has other plans to destroy the woman. And one of her plans was to use Luca as bait to pull Calistha out of her hiding place. "Honey, how are you today?" Emily smiled gently at Luca who was staring at her blankly. There was no warmth in his eyes. He looked like a weak and empty wooden puppet. "My name is Emily, don't you remember me, babe?" She asked in a soft, lilting voice. Luca then shook his head in response, and he turned his eyes back to the hospital window which was showing a view of the thousands of trees planted in the back garden. "It's okay
Calistha breathed heavily as she followed Aiden's broad steps as he walked into his house. After they managed to deliver Luciana safely to her orphanage and made sure to give the little girl a tight guard while the criminals who kidnapped her were still out there, Aiden hadn't made the slightest sound in front of her. Even when Malfoy was talking to him, Aiden just responded coldly without giving any comment to every word Malfoy said when they talked about Luciana's safety. Calistha felt a little bad for making the atmosphere between them so unpleasant like this. She felt sorry for Aiden of course. She had been manipulating him all along. And unfortunately she didn't know how to act in front of him after this. But if she wanted to defend herself, she might find Aiden weird for being too much. Hadn't the man been paid to look after her? He shouldn't have gotten so angry with the truth she had been hiding for so long. She was just making sure her position was safe with Aiden. At this t
Calistha got out of Malfoy's jeep while smoothing the strands of her hair that were blowing in the wind to cover her eyes. They finally arrived at Ilderton after circling for quite a while looking for clues to Luciana's whereabouts. At first glance Calistha felt strange with Malfoy. The man said that he was just an ordinary young man who had never had anything to do with her father. But when she met Malfoy this morning, all her trust in him fell. She couldn't believe that Malfoy was just an ordinary boy because he seemed to be hiding something from her. And again, how did Malfoy find the whereabouts of Aiden's house? Even though she believes that the existence of Aiden's house is very difficult for people to find. Aiden's house has always looked like an empty, gloomy and haunted house. Malfoy couldn't have found her so quickly, unless Malfoy wasn't an ordinary boy, as he had been telling her all along. “They hid Luciana inside.” Calistha stared at Malfoy in silence and just followed
The little girl struggled and cried loudly in front of two well-built men who had been looking furious because of the little girl's loud voice. They then took a cloth and started gagging the pale lips of the little girl who had been crying all night without stopping. "You should be quiet and not hurt our ears, this is the result if you keep crying non-stop." Luciana inched backwards, but her hands and feet that were bound to the wooden chair made her movements seem useless. She wanted to go home and be back with her friends. She wanted her brave uncle to come save her. Saving her was like the fairy tales of the princesses that she had often read. The two men were like the monsters that had sometimes been present in her dreams, on the night when she suddenly missed her mother. Luciana sobbed softly behind the cloth covering her mouth. As a girl who is still very innocent, she has been faced with the cruelty of the world that has succeeded in taking her mother. Blame God who ordained
