CHAPTER 20

Alan's motorbike stopped beside the lighthouse that he brought Valerie to weeks ago. Their hands were intertwined with each other as they walked towards the lighthouse. The sounds of waves crashing from a distance, and frogs croaking could be heard.

"I have a surprise for you," he said smiling and showing his perfect set of teeth.

They strolled for two minutes before they reached their destination.

It was a cabin, in a lone, and deserted area.

Alan took out the keys to the cabin and opened the door.

The cabin looked regular yet cozy. The cabin had hand-carved wooden furniture, a large bed, and a stone fireplace. There were only two windows in the small cabin.

"I remember you telling me the other day that you usually brought your ex here, I didn't understand why, but seeing this cabin made me rethink," Valerie said, flopping herself on the bed as Alan went to light the fireplace.
