Pain and Pleasure

As soon as Nadia had seen Derek, she lost interest in everything that was going on in the arena as she stood still in the frozen hug. She had not expected Derek to return anytime soon, let alone for him to be present in the Arena to witness all these.

The real truth was that she had no initial intentions of going through with the wedding, in fact her real intention for setting up this whole event was to delay the process of her mum beign sworn in while she thought of her next move.

She knew that getting a suitor such as one of the sons of thhe Lords would guarantee the silencing of all those that had eyes in the crown while the Royal wedding is planned. She was fully aware of how long the preparation for a royal wedding could take - sometimes up to a year - and that was atleast ample time for her to come up with whatever excuse that she needed to back down from the wedding and still remain relevant to the crown.
