Knock

I was sprawled on the bed when my door was knocked again. I sighed and ruffled my hair in distress. After making my mission of attending school early fail, they won't even give me the chance to think about what to do with my life. Ugh!

I swung my legs, which I casually placed on the headboard, and replied with a lazy 'Come in'.

“I'm here to check up on you.” Asher, who held onto his stethoscope and a medical box, leisurely strode into the room as soon as I responded. His eyes swept my room before they fell on me.

“Sure, if you won't quibble.” I retorted and sat up on the bed lazily, not quite believing him.

Ugh! I feel like I'm having a weird attitude these days, but I'd like to blame it on my arrogance, which has been suppressed all along until it can't be contained.

“Wyatt is extravagant this time,” Asher commented with a tut and walked to my bed before he stopped. He eyed me tentatively. “You're getting more glib day by day.” He blurted and sat down on a couch in my bedroom.
