Even though the race had started, the haunted house still opened to accept visitors. It's just the number of the members managing the house were reduced to take care of the checkpoint. From what Ricky heard from the other members, some of the participants had reached their checkpoint and was playing the game that they had prepared.

Ricky stood up as he gave the visitors a glowing bangle shaped stick and asked them to wear it on their wrist to avoid getting lost inside the haunted house. This was because apart from the premises that was built outside the building, their haunted house was the biggest inner premise in the university by renting a whole five tutorial rooms and merging them into their venue.

The success of renting the spot was also due to Ricky's group members donation. Their group were actually just some spoiled rich kids who just like to extort money from others rather than asking from their parents.
