Ricky
Again, Ricky sucked his breath and scoffed at himself before shaking his head.
"No, it’s nothing." He then rubbed his nape and glanced away.
Noel who’s staring at his behavior began to study his expression. The creased on his brows still persists, however, a sense of attachment is reflected in his blue and gold smeared eyes.
"It's okay if you didn't want to say about it." He spoke before continuing to consume the first half of the burrito and moaned happily again.
"By the way, does that close person of yours have black hair?"
Noel continued, trying to guess about that significant other of his. For some reason, he dislikes the topic, or more like, he had that feeling that something might get exposed by them dragging onto this topic. Yet, it felt like he must go on, he must know of that person that Ricky was always thinking about, given how passionate he thinks of this person.
Ricky flinched and looked away, embarrassed tha
Ricky Ricky stared intensely at the bottles of some 100% pure honey that was arranged on the aisle. Then, he banged his head on the aisle as he sighed, surprising some people who was also shopping around him at that time. "Why did I just left him earlier? I could've send him back to the cafe, what will I do if my brother do anything to him?" Ricky mumbled his regrets internally while carefully picked a bottle of the honey and went to the next aisle, which was filled with various types of sweets. Later that night, he planned to reward the stalker with the things that it likes, sweets and honey, so he went to the supermarket near his house after finishing his shift at the school in the evening. While picking some sweets, he did wonder if the inhuman stalker of his likes mundane food or not. What if they like a completely different types of sweets and honey? "Should I bake?" Ricky monologued while wandering astray at the baking section. H
Slenderman (Daily life of the cursed fairy) All the time, I thought of myself as a lone being. Waking up in a dark, madness clad night, what I saw in front of me was only the desire to kill and massacre all the things around me. But that was about a few years ago. Nowadays, I feel more free from my desires and just live to satiate my curiosity of the world that I lived in. It all started when I stumbled upon a mysterious abandoned shack deep in the woods as I was taking my midnight stroll. Out of curiosity, I peeked inside and to my surprise, the inside of the shack looks rather different from what I expected. There were countless arrangements of... Books? They were placed neatly on shelves that were sheltered by a night sky ceiling. I froze, fascinated by the unfamiliar furniture placement. "Greetings, how may I help you?" Not far from the main door, a reception table was placed. Behind it was a figure of a young man i
RickyThe day had finally come of when Ricky shared some sweets with the stalker. Since the morning up until the last few moments before he stepped out from the house, Ricky had been feeling giddy. He couldn’t help breaking into an idiotic smile as he prepared the sweets.Ricky grinned as he placed the tarts and cupcakes on a tray and covered it with the food cover. Then, he wrote a simple note to the stalker saying 'For you' and placed it neatly on the kitchen counter near the cover so the stalker could see it.Before he head out, he took a last glance towards the kitchen before making his way to school.A few moments after the door was locked, a small figure sneaked out from the kitchen cabinet and went to the counter. It giggled.***"Last night was awesome."Adam said monotonously. He stared blankly at the hallway ceiling."Indeed. You didn't sound happy though." Ricky replied
Noel"This is just a slight nosebleed from the weather. It will get better soon if you rest for a bit." The doctor said while prescribing some meds for Noel."I see. Thank you so much, doctor."The doctor nodded and smiled. Then, he told Noel to rest on the bed for awhile before going back to work. It was to prevent any aftereffect from the nosebleed. After the doctor had left, Noel laid on one of the beds that were prepared in the infirmary. Luckily there were curtains that surrounded each section of the bed, blocking the bright sunlight.Noel held his forehead with his trembling hand, grunting once in awhile as he felt his Mana draining. His breath also felt heavy as if the hole in his chest prevents him to breathe. He just noticed what happened to him earlier at the cafe after slightly calming his throbbing head down."…Is this, 'Spirit Pierce'?" He muttered. It made sense given the amount of pain that he felt,
RickyAn hour after Noel fell asleep, Ricky was playing with his smartphone to kill time. Sometimes, Noel would smile and snuggled happily with Ricky's hand. Ricky grunted."Just when is he gonna let go of my hand? It's hot." He sighed as he scrolled through the pages of his social media.Suddenly he heard a door knocking and turned around to look at the door."Ooh~ how sweet." Adam and Taylor were standing at the door, grinning like a pair of idiots while shooting him teasing glances.Aw, shoot."What do you imbeciles want?" He scorned, his tone was stern but lowered down to not wake Noel up."Well, we're here to return your wallet, and we told our members about your lateness as well. More party I guess." Adam mischievously smirked, but also lowered his tone to respect the sick person.Taylor who became the silent listener to their conversations slowly sneaked closer to the bed where Noel was sleeping."Oh, what is this
Noel"Your majesty!"Madam Ruzka called as she stood up from her seat. Izfar who was with her also stood up, his face brightened in delight. Noel emerged from the circle shaped ankh below him in his spirit form. Upon seeing the sage and the prime minister, he smiled brightly."It's been awhile. How have you guys been?"He asked first. Izfar stepped in front of him and bowed down."All Hail to His Majesty, the Emperor!" Was the first thing Izfar said out of respect to the Great Emperor of Ishtiya’ who’s hovering in front of him. Although Noel was in his soul form, the authority continuously oozes out from him, indicating absolute leadership.Noel chuckled. “Please, cease this. We don’t have much time, don’t we? I’ll have your pleasentries when I returned in my physical form.”“Indeed.” Izfar stood up and curtly adjusted his long robe—which reached down below his feet to the fl
NoelNoel wailed, in a mysterious, unknown tone. Was he wailing because he was sent home early by his club leader? Or his wails sounded more like he’s moaning in happiness because Irya' brought him the sweets that Ricky made for her out of gratitude?Pretty close, but that's not it.The cause of him wailing as he continued on kicking the air while rolling vigorously on the bed was the fact of the unending memory clip of the second hand embarrassment he experienced that was playing in his head since earlier. What did he do?Well, not only he felt guilty having a nosebleed in front of his colleague, which was bearable, because nosebleed are a common feat in summer, he also experienced the most embarrassing moment in his life, by crying, inelegantly, in front of a person he wasn't close to. He was caught up in the moment and even dared to make contact with none other than the person he despised, which was Ricky Kruger. He sat up ab
NoelIn the distance, the sound of crickets slowly died, as if giving him space to start his story."As the child born from the night, we have tremendous magic power in our bodies, parallel to our mystical title."Noel clenched both of his hands together and rested it on his lap."However, when we were born, our young bodies couldn't contain that magic power, so our creator decided to separate the magic power into someone else, that is our other half, the Sol."Irya' listened enthusiastically. Her small hands were clenched on her lap and she stopped eating the sweets. All the time, Noel explained to Irya' using "we, us, our...", because the child of night were born from the same pieces.Apart from having the same night colored hair and lunar grey eyes, one child of night won't live to meet another child, as one's death indicates the birth of another. Noel was the recent child of the night that was born. And Griselda, was his fi
RICKY’S POV “What the hell…?” I mumbled, reaching out my fingers to the floating sentence in front of me. It was untouchable, judging from my hands that went through the words like waving through air. If this sentence in front of me cannot be touched, then does that mean it was only in my mind? Scratching my hand that was bitten by mosquitoes, I fluttered my eyes several times, trying to make sure I was not hallucinating. The words really appeared in my mind. Soon after that, the words started to fade away—slightly different from the games because it faded like the shadows or your reflection on the surface of the water that wavered because of something touching the surface. I got up from the sofa—still glueing my eyes to the disappearing words—and turned around to the sliding door after the sentence had fully disappeared from my eyes. Still fazed, this hands of mine moved by itself, tugging the metallic door and sliding it close. The same was
RICKY’S POVI feel betrayed in many ways than one.No, seriously. If there are people outside there that wished to learn the basics of magic, without having even an ounce of Mana Reserve inside them, I advice you to quit.Even for me, who posses a huge amount of Mana, so huge that I can even restore my soulmate’s Mana Reserve to their fullest, can’t even handle my Mana very well.“Focus. I can sense your breath faltering.”A voice resounded in my mind, making it’s way through my eardrums and of course, completely destroying the last bit of focus that I have inside me. I heaved a huge exasperated sigh that sounded more like a grunt and glanced towards the sky in frustration.“Val! Look, I am trying my best to focus here. Can you at least be quiet?”“....I wouldn’t call it a focus if your thoughts wandered somewhere.”I gasped in surprise.“You&
Oberon In the darkness, a distant chiming bell became his guide. He wondered why was he in this condition—being suddenly trapped in the darkness that he had no knowledge of right after coming from another world—even so, his body—heavy and numb—felt very hard to move. Oberon laid still and let himself surrender to the darkness. It was black—everywhere—is black, yet it felt warm and gentle. A kind darkness if he may assume. He slowly regained his strength when he felt something soft and furry touching his forehead. Immediately after his strength completely came back to him, Oberon gradually opened his eyes. When his view is clear, Oberon saw someone unfamiliar above him was stroking his hair. It was a beastman, but from their build
(MIDNIGHT BASKING)(After having dinner and resting a bit in the tent)RickySomehow, Ricky couldn’t seem to fall asleep. Despite him, Noel and Adam who have had a little too much fun night trekking and frolicking around the area after they have their dinner that he should have felt tired by it, Ricky didn’t feel it, the sleepiness nor the fatigue. However, contrary to him, Adam is sleeping like a log beside him. The frequency of his snores is like begging for Ricky to clam his mouth shut and probably gave him a smack or two on his forehead. What a lass, disturbing people with his loud snores. There’s a reason as to why Ricky is slightly irked by Adam’s snores in particulr at that very moment. For Ricky, he doesn’t care that much if his friend snores, make a 720 degree roll until his t-shirt became a top tank, or even perform an acrobatic movement in sleep while having the legs smush everything in it&rsqu
Oberon (Noel)“Your majesty!”Izfar opened the door of the dressing room while yelling for Oberon’s name. Inside the room, the maids were fitting Noel—who had already returned to his original body—with some oriental clothes imbued with several enchantments.“Hey, Izfar. Long time no see.” Oberon grinned.Izfar showed a relieved look. “Welcome back.”“I’m back.”They both exchanged smiles.Unfortunately, they didn’t have time to sit down and have a talk as Oberon was preparing for protection ceremony by Madam Ruzka before he again departed into a new world. After wearing the full outfit for the ceremony, he headed to the main hall, where Madam Ruzka had awaited him.Chants of spells filled the hall, infusing a pool that was located at the middle of the hall with mana. Upon completion, the pool glowed with a bright, turquoise color. Without delay
NoelNoel heaved a deep sigh after he opened his eyes.“Hm? Where is he?”He darted his eyes around, searching for Ricky.“Hey.” A voice said, and he turned around.Ricky was sitting on a fallen tree trunk while crossing his legs lazily. He was holding his smartphone that had flashlight turned on and on his lap, the stacks of books were placed with one book on the top being opened by Ricky.“Took you long enough. I had already finished five chapters into the book. I even have to use a flashlight because the forest it too dark!”Ricky ranted. Noel was only able to laugh. He understood where Ricky was coming from, being left alone in a scary looking place and all.“I’m sorry.” Noel saidRicky sighed and ruffled his hair.He then stood up and brushed any dirt and dust from his clothes, before walking near Noel and handed him the three books.“Here. Mi
Noel/RickyEvening quickly came by, yet they both still lazed around on the couch.Closing the novel book he read, Ricky apouted, “As I thought, you should really move into-”“I won’t.” Noel immediately cut in.The both of them sat still.“Ricky, there is something I would like to tell you.” Noel spoke after a long while of silence.“What is it?” Ricky who was leaning against the sofa now sat straight as he gave his full attention to Noel. Noel also sat straight, slightly hesitating his decision.“I...” He paused. “It is time for me to go, to leave earth and venture into a new world.”Ricky froze. In one moment, he looked as if he really wanted to oppose the idea; with him frowning and stuff, yet in the next moment, he fell into a deep thought.“…Go on then.”Noel blinked his eyes in confusion. For more solid ev
NoelIt was the morning right after the big incident involving the whole world. It was supposed to be a big incident, but no news were stating about it and nothing showed up in social media regarding that issue. Most importantly, the neighborhood was too quiet, no damages, no casualties, and not even… sadness?Ricky frowned while folding the laundries.“Ricky, if you frown like that, the house spirits will get scared.” Noel stepped near while holding a laundry basket in his arms.“Oh, sorry.”Ricky apologized to some house spirits that were trembling in fear of him. Noel sat on the carpeted floor near him and took out the laundries to fold. Then they both went silent except for the whirring sound of the washing machine inside the laundry room.“Noel.” Ricky called and Noel glanced at him. “Am I that scary?”Noel narrowed his eyes. “What’s with this sudden question?&rdq
RickyAfter somehow managed to reach Noel’s house, he entered the unlocked door. Looking around, the surroundings were quiet.Ricky leaned on the sofa in the living room, while staring blankly at the wooden ceiling. In his mind, scenes of what happened earlier replayed for countless of times. It was as if reminding him that his life had changed the moment he became the Sol of a person named Noel Kieran, or to be more precise, Oberon. He remembered it vividly, how Noel emitted such powerful aura when he destroyed the undead army in a single blow. He somehow managed to assert dominance, while also fully expressing his beauty in the moonlit background. Seeing him like that made Ricky wonder if he was able to be like him or not.He also wanted to protect Noel from any harm, not wanting to be the one to always be protected. But how can he became like that? His eyes darted in
