Noel
"Here, your bag."
Ricky handed Noel's bag to him after they reached the front of Noel's house. Surprisingly, his house was near the campus ground; after passing through the junction and the big road, his house was located at Averyhill road. it was only about 15 minutes away by walking.
"Thank you."
Noel accepted the bag and slightly nodded his head in front of Ricky, thanking him. Before he turned around to enter his house, he stopped.
"Uh..."
He turned back to Ricky. Ricky raised his eyebrows, waiting for him to speak.
"Wanna come, into my house? I can make something for you to eat before you left. And besides, it's already afternoon."
Noel raised his head and glanced at the clouds that were floating peacefully in the blue sky, the sun ray kind of sting the eye though.
Ricky turned his face away from Noel's and scratched his nape.
Isn't this like, too fast?
He thought, reminiscing
Noel Noel widened his eyes for a bit from shock as he smiled. "…I see." He reminisced about the ending of the book. The cat was actually blind because at that time, black cats were said to have connection with witches and is said to bring bad luck to people, so some townspeople threw stones to the cat until it got blind. One day, the cat felt like it was taken care by someone, and after she heals, she embarked into a journey to find the personwho healed her. At the end of the story, Noel never thought that the one who saved the cat was the daughter of a noble who first accused that black cats bring bad luck to people. And because the nobility was the most powerful group in the country at that time, the lower class people blindly followed the belief. In the end, that girl was sentenced to death for the crime of saving a witch's property. While her head had locked to the wooden plane of the guillotine, before it went down, she said to al
Noel The atmosphere tensed up a bit. "It's just, I felt like you played a big role in this. I don't know why..." Joseph scratched the back of his neck as he laughed awkwardly. "I see." Noel sighed in relief as he was glad that he didn't found out about him telling Izfar about Serah. Although he must say, Izfar is really efficient in his work. Probably because he had handled cases like those before. After some brief chit chat among them, Joseph decided that it was time to leave as the clock almost struck at one o'clock in the morning. They exchanged farewells and then he left, stepping out from the library with a refreshing feeling and a light heart. Noel stared at the door for a long time, the smile on his face still etched to him. For a long living fairy like him, 20 years was not a long time. It felt like a week or two, or even less than that, but when he meddle with humans, who lived just a short life, he kind of can
Ricky’s POV (The scene before Noel came to earth...) After returning back from the school, I took a detour towards the nearest store to grab some food. Anything is fine, as long as I can fill my stomach. Entering the convenience store, my eyes darted towards the shelves of instant food and locked eyes with the only pack of chicken sammich that was placed on the shelves among all other food that was still a lot. The convenience store that I was in is popular with their delicious and generously packed chicken sammich, so it would always got sold out before I could even bought it. That's why I sometimes resorted in stealing it from other students. The me who is able to buy the chicken sammich now is only by pure chance because they said it was the last pack and they would put a "SOLD OUT" sign on it's aisle. I bought the pack of chicken sammich and a bottle of mineral water, and whistled my way back home back home. "I'm home." I said when I opene
Ricky The murderous ray of sunlight that shone in the clear sky indicates the presence of summer season in Westwood. Parallel to that, it also meant beach, BBQ, and also summer festivals. Yes, summer festival. It’s time for the students of Saint Iriha to celebrate the upcoming summer festival that will be withheld in their university ground. The students were busy with their club activities and preparation for the festival, well, extra busy. During the week of festival preparation, academic lessons were paused to give time for students. After all, Saint Iriha is not only known for their excellent academic performances, but also an extraordinary festivals that were recognized throughout the whole region. Because of that, a lot of people will come to the festival and the students will have to work hard as the university's pride lies on them. While others were busy doing things for the festival—manual labor, decorating, painting and stuffs—Ricky, on the other ha
Noel Noel tilted his head in a confused manner. Earlier, he met eyes with Ricky and accidentally waved at him. He didn’t even know why he waved at the douche who’s keen on making his life miserable, but he’s been pretty quiet recently, as in not pestering him with anything bully related. Surprisingly, Ricky did waved back, almost awkwardly, then immediately retreated towards the shelves but still hasn't came back until now. "I wonder if he's okay..." Noel muttered before he froze in shock. Him? Worrying about that douche? He must’ve been going mad. He shook his head and heaved a sharp sigh, as if repenting. Then, he continued his ongoing tasks which was putting colours to the banners that will be set on the hallway for stores. He wanted to at least finish the task before he went back home for the day. On the week of preparation, some students were allowed to go home earlier than usual while some other went home late until the point of staying at the u
Noel "Stalker, eh? To think that Irya' was addressed like that by him." Noel snickered. His eyes trailed off Ricky’s figure until it disappeared from his sight. Then, he cupped his chin as he looked down, thinking of something. "Actually, should I let them meet?" He wondered, judging his decision. He won't lose anything by letting Irya' meet Ricky. In fact, he's far more powerful than a single human who's worth was not more than a mere gold. Now he felt guilty saying him like that. He might reconsider letting them both meet. Even if Ricky told anyone else, they will have a hard time believing him, so the rumors won't spread far. "Yeah, guess I'll do that." He smiled to himself. However, truthfully, he was actually kind of curious as to why Ricky acted so awkward at the first half of their meeting back in the university. It was as if something was in his mind. Among many people that he have met, Ricky was the only non-magical cr
Izfar "This is troubling..." Izfar cupped his chin as he scanned through the records of his Majesty's otherworld travel inside the royal library in the palace. A few days ago, apparently his majesty wasn't able to teleport to the kingdom due to connection problems. The symptoms were the same like all the other cases before, blocked pathway by a mysterious black boulder. Noel have faced cases like those and they have the countermeasures, but for some reason, the recent case is special; which was his majesty was the only one who was unable to pass through the portal to the kingdom, while the other creatures can. This hypothesis was concluded by the incident of the lost girl named Serah not long ago. Deciding that he just looking blindly into the records won't help him, he went to the people who he knew might have the clue to the problem. *** The air inside the sewer feels heavy as usual although the slimes t
Izfar "So you've seen the golden light?" Izfar asked, his attention was fully directed towards his conversation with Madam Ruzka. "Yes, but not as whole. I'm afraid we still didn't know about the presence of his 'Sol'. " Izfar creased his eyebrows, his face clouded with a hint of conflict. The whole situation was more serious than he thought. Also, he never thought that he would heard of the re-encounter of his majesty with his 'Sol'. "This is a rare occurrence indeed. I never have thought that his 'Sol' will resurrect in my lifeline. But..." His face turned grim. "It means something big is going to happen soon..." The atmosphere fell silent. They both looked down, thoughts running inside their heads. After a long while, Izfar finally spoke. "Madam, I know that this will be harsh on his majesty, but I want you to use 'Spirit Pierce' on him." Madam Ruzka’s eyes immediately widened in surprise. "Don't be r
