"What has happened? Where is my girl?" Cygnus asked Altair in a tone full of anger. How could he not? Altair had forcibly put him to sleep while he was waiting for Enne to arrive. When he woke up, Cygnus found himself in his study again without Enne.

Altair took a deep breath. "Not now."

"What do you mean? You ...." Cygnus did not continue his words.

"Yes, I injected the suppressant into her," Altair replied with a flat face, his gaze focused on the file on his workbench, but Cygnus knew very well that Altair's true state was in turmoil.

"You're crazy," Cygnus scolded. Suppressants were drugs Altair often took to suppress his hormones. All this time, Altair had believed in the prophecy about his fated mate. It was Altair's fault for marking Enne. Altair did not want to be rash by mating with Enne.

Again, Altair could only let out a rough sigh. He was well aware that his rut cycle had become messy due to taking the suppres

In just the blink of an eye, Altair had arrived before Enne and Andhara, the man's sturdy arms already firmly gripping Andhara's neck with a deadly cold expression.Enne gasped of course, how could an ordinary human move that fast?"Take your hands off her." Altair warned again.Instead of obeying, Andhara's grip on Enne's hand tightened, eliciting a low groan from Enne's mouth as well as rousing the girl from her reverie.Hearing Enne's cries of pain, the look in Altair's eyes darkened, the Cygnus within Altair feeling an overwhelming rage. His grip on Andhara's neck was getting stronger which made Andhara start to struggle, but he also did not want to release his grip on Enne's wrist."She doesn't like you, to her, you're just a killer wolf she met on her first day coming to this village."Altair could hear the sound of Andhara's thoughts on him. It was annoying to see Andhara's exhausted face but the man still had time to say such a provocative sentence.Altair's grip on his hand g

"Isn't she showing off her body on purpose?" said the curly-haired man sitting around the table with his three friends while staring at the back of the girl in the blue apron who was struggling with her toast."Don't say that, she can hear you," said the blond-haired man."She's just a weird, arrogant girl." The stocky man chimed in."You're just mad because she wouldn't fight you yesterday," the tall man said to the curly-haired man.Enne could hear the whispers clearly, a bunch of boys her age had deliberately come to her mother's bakery and gossiped there, yes... gossiped about her.Without saying anything, Enne had already walked over to serve four cups of toast to the four boys and intended to return to the kitchen."Hey Aquila." The curly-haired man said Enne's first name.Enne turned her head, she didn't say anything but looked back at the man.The curly-haired man smiled mockingly. "What's the rush? You can stay with us for a while," the man said with a chuckle. His voice was

"I'm not allowed to leave until you eat your food," Jessica explained when she saw Enne just burying herself in the blanket with her back to her."Why are you so obedient to that pale guy? Go away and leave me alone here," Enne said without removing the blanket from her body."You know that a Gamma like me has no right to defy an Alpha."Enne, who was annoyed by Jessica's answer, poked her head out and turned to the butler."I hope this is just a bad dream. My purpose for coming here is not to become a werewolf, I want to live a normal life like everyone else, sometimes I also want to ignore my mind reading ability, but their words can always be heard and are so honest, I can't pretend not to hear them. I'm a freak, and now that pale one is making me even weirder." Unconsciously, Enne poured out her grievances.Jessica could see the look of sadness in Enne, she had already walked over and placed her food tray on the nightstand beside Enne's bed. Enne was really desperate to smuggle herself into the trunk of the horse-drawn carriage. The two people left immediately after Devota went home and took over Aaron's duties in the village. There wasn't much conversation that Enne could catch, her body occasionally jolted as the horse-drawn carriage she was riding in hit the gravel or uneven road. Enne didn't know how long she had stayed in that position, an hour or more? But Enne immediately breathed a sigh of relief when the horse-drawn carriage stopped moving.Enne could hear the sound of Altair and Stella's feet getting off the horse-drawn carriage. After the situation was deemed safe, Enne immediately came out of her hiding place very carefully.Enne's body felt very cramped, curling up in a cramped place like a trunk for a long time made her joints need stretching, not to

Altair was about to speak up when he saw Stella suddenly enter the room and interrupt him. "They are ready, those people want to see you in person."Altair nodded slowly. Yes, his goal was to expand his business connections. Although Altair lived in the forest far away from the city, it was not impossible that the outside world would disturb his flock, with Altair establishing relations with the human world, at least they knew that Altair could be a powerful person and would not disturb his area. The proof was that even though Altair lived in the interior of the forest, he had many businesses in the capital city, such as the firearms business, nightclubs, and some famous shops, it was Madame Lyra who was Enne's grandmother who used to take care of Altair's human affairs, considering that Madame Lyra had lived in human civilization for a very long time. However, since Madame Lyra had to go somewhere, Altair was forced to step in, while he left the affairs in the village to Devota."Did

Enne was stunned. A golden brown wolf was approaching her. There was no fear at all, and Enne felt this strangeness.Normally a person would run away out of fear, or inch away in surprise at the arrival of such a beast, but not Enne, she kept staring at the wolf with dense fur approaching her.Enne didn't know if it was just a feeling or not, but the wolf's steps looked graceful. The wolf walked beautifully, leaving a trail in the snow."Finally we meet."That voice. Enne frowned, it was a familiar voice to her ears."Why the surprise? We've talked before. I've said it before; I am you and you are me."Enne didn't want to admit it, but the wolf was talking to her."You're ...." Enne's sentence trailed off. She remembered hearing that voice at Mrs. Lyra's house, the day she moved to her grandmother's village, before she and Altair officially met."Are you going to reject my presence? But seeing that you are not afraid at all, I feel that your curiosity is greater than your fear," the w

"Etienne?"Enne could faintly hear someone's voice calling his name."Are you okay?" the voice asked again. No, Enne knew that voice well, his head felt dizzy, especially when his sense of smell picked up the strong odor of cigarette smoke and alcohol."What hurts?" the person asked again when he saw Enne wincing while holding his head. That's right, there was no mistaking it, it was Altair."I'm fine," Enne finally said in a hoarse voice. The horse-drawn carriage they were in moved slowly down the path in the forest. Inside, the atmosphere was colder and heavier than their previous journey. Enne sat on one side, his hands clasped tightly together in his lap. His mind kept drifting back to the moment last night, when his mother had curiously asked about their relationship."Nothing, Etienne and I are just friends, nothing more than that." That was what Altair said when asked by Lady Ingrid about their relationship. Those words struck his heart, floating in his mind until there was no room to think about anything else. That statement kept echoing in Enne's head. Although he did not want to admit it, his heart flinched when he heard Altair's words. They were already officially mates-Altair had marked it in the cave back then, a bond that Lynx said should be stronger than just friendship. But now, Enne could not ignore the strange feeling that welled up inside her. A disappointment that he found hard to understand, even ha

That morning, Stella stood in front of the large gate of the Altair pack. The cool morning breeze swept through her flowing black hair, but her mind was not as relaxed as the morning weather. Stella knew her time here was up; she could no longer delay her return to the pack she led.As an Alpha, Stella had never shied away from her responsibilities. She knew that being a girl didn't make her role any smaller or less meaningful than any other Alpha male. But that duty also meant she couldn't be elsewhere for too long, even if she wanted to ensure the safety of her cousin, Altair, and her new Luna, Enne.Altair stood next to him, his face showing a mixture of gratitude and anxiety. "Are you sure you don't want to stay a few more days? The situation is still not completely under control," he said.Stella smiled a little, though there was firmness in her eyes. "My betas have been taking over for too long. I can't keep burdening them. They need their Alpha."Enne, who was standing by Altai

After a long journey, Enne and Altair finally returned to their village. A large gate made of sturdy wood welcomed them, adorned with the pack crest that symbolized their strength and unity. The normally quiet village was now filled with the boisterous voices of pack members gathered to welcome home their new Alpha and Luna."Alpha! Luna!" one pack member exclaimed with a wide smile. Cheers of joy filled the air, but Enne felt that the heavy burden in his heart had not completely disappeared.Altair held Enne's hand tightly as they got off the carriage. He knew that his wife was still shaken by the events in the city. He could feel the tension emanating from her body despite Enne's face trying to mask her worry."Calm down, it's all over," Altair whispered in a soft tone in Enne's ear.Enne gave a small nod, but her gaze remained vigilant. Andhara's image still haunted her mind. Although they managed to escape the man's threat, Enne knew that the danger wasn't really over.Stella appe

The atmosphere in the old house was tense. Cold air seeped in through the cracks in the weathered walls. Altair and Stella could see Andhara standing holding a small blue glowing object that emitted a magical aura."Andhara," Altair growled, his voice low and threatening. "Let her go right now."Andhara gave a small smile. "Relax, Alpha. I won't hurt her-not yet, at least. You know what I need from him, right? Her bloodline is the key to the Eye of the Moon. If you're wise, you'll leave it to me."Altair stepped forward, while Stella moved to the side, preparing to attack. "You think I will let you touch her?""Then, what are you going to do?" asked Andhara, remaining calm. "I know you won't risk your Lunar's safety. You care about her too much."Enne tried to speak, but Andhara's voice cut her off. "Shut up, little Luna. You don't understand how precious you are."Altair could hold back no longer. But this madness is the result of something you never understood."Enne frowned, trying to figure out what Andhara meant. However, before she could say anything, Andhara stood up and started walking around her."You are the key to destroying Altair," Andhara continued. "And with you in my hands, I can ensure that he will never stand in my way again."Enne felt her anger begin to rise. "Altair will not let you win."Andhara stopped and looked at her coldly. The sky in the village of Altair was filled with orange as the sun began to sink behind the mountains. Lyra stood near the entrance of the cave where she used to meditate, her gaze directed into the distance. The cold air touched her skin, but her thoughts were on the events of the past week or so that kept plaguing her mind.It was a day that should have been full of joy. Altair and Enne were having a wedding in the city, far away from their troubled village. However, Lyra felt unable to join in the celebration. There was something holding her back in the village, something she couldn't ignore. On the morning before Altair and Enne left, a man in dark robes came to their village. His steps were quiet, but the look in his eyes exuded urgency. The man wore a hood, hiding most of his face, but Lyra knew that he was not just anyone. He introduced himself as Ezra, someone who had important information for Altair."Altair is busy preparing for his trip to the city," Lyra said as she looked

Ingrid sat on a wooden chair by her kitchen window, looking out with a questioning expression. She had long known her daughter, Enne, to be secretive and mysterious. However, ever since the arrival of Altair-who she had been vaguely introduced to in the past-Ingrid felt that there was something more going on than just a casual visit.Enne stood at the side of the kitchen table, biting her lower lip while occasionally glancing at Altair who sat quietly. The man, though seemingly relaxed, carried an air of authority that was hard to ignore. Ingrid let out a long breath before finally straightening up and looking at the two seriously."Enne," she said slowly, "I knew you wouldn't come this far for no reason. What exactly is going on?"Enne swallowed, feeling her heart beating faster than usual. She knew this conversation would not be easy. On the one hand, she wanted to protect her mother from a world full of danger, but on the other hand, Ingrid had a right to know."There's something w

Enne stood by the large window, looking out at the forest that was beginning to turn its snow-white color into fresh green. Spring had come to replace the long, harsh winter, but in Enne's heart, a new season could not dispel the doubts that continued to haunt him.The snow had melted, paving the way for green shoots to emerge from the frozen ground. However, Enne felt like the ground beneath her feet was still fragile, like it might collapse at any moment. He thought of his mother, Ingrid, who lived in a small town far from here."Mom," Enne murmured softly, feeling the warmth of the call flow through her. Her mother had raised her alone, never knowing that the bigger world-the werewolf world-was Enne's new home.As a child, Enne often felt different. He wasn't like other children who played freely and laughed carefree. From an early age, Enne knew that there was something else inside him. The voices in other people's heads sometimes echoed in her mind, like whispers that couldn't be

The pack members had just finished with the big celebration that celebrated Enne's appointment as their Luna. However, behind the smiles and friendly shoulder taps, there were doubts, questions, and faint whispers about the future.Inside Lyra's private room, the atmosphere was much more serious. Lyra, with a stern look and eyes full of wisdom, sat on a wooden chair. Her hand was clutching an old scroll, which seemed to have come a long way. In front of her, Altair stood tall, but his face showed deep curiosity."You wanted to talk to me this early in the morning, Lyra?"
