Ingrid sat on a wooden chair by her kitchen window, looking out with a questioning expression. She had long known her daughter, Enne, to be secretive and mysterious. However, ever since the arrival of Altair-who she had been vaguely introduced to in the past-Ingrid felt that there was something more going on than just a casual visit.

Enne stood at the side of the kitchen table, biting her lower lip while occasionally glancing at Altair who sat quietly. The man, though seemingly relaxed, carried an air of authority that was hard to ignore. Ingrid let out a long breath before finally straightening up and looking at the two seriously.

"Enne," she said slowly, "I knew you wouldn't come this far for no reason. What exactly is going on?"

Enne swallowed, feeling her heart beating faster than usual. She knew this conversation would not be easy. On the one hand, she wanted to protect her mother from a world full of danger, but on the other hand, Ingrid had a right to know.

The sky in the village of Altair was filled with orange as the sun began to sink behind the mountains. The cold air touched her skin, but her thoughts were on the events of the past week or so that kept plaguing her mind.It was a day that should have been full of joy. There was something holding her back in the village, something she couldn't ignore. On the morning before Altair and Enne left, a man in dark robes came to their village. His steps were quiet, but the look in his eyes exuded urgency. The man wore a hood, hiding most of his face, but Lyra knew that he was not just anyone. Andhara emerged from the shadows, a sardonic smile gracing her face. Her piercing eyes stared at Enne with an intensity that sent chills down her spine."What do you want from me?" asked Enne, trying to sound firm despite her racing heart.Andhara approached her slowly, then squatted in front of the chair where Enne was tied. "You know, I really didn't want to involve you in my plan. But you forced me to.""You're crazy," Enne hissed.Andhara laughed softly. "Maybe. But this madness is the result of something you never understood."Enne frowned, trying to figure out what Andhara meant. However, before she could say anything, Andhara stood up and started walking around her."You are the key to destroying Altair," Andhara continued. "And with you in my hands, I can ensure that he will never stand in my way again."Enne felt her anger begin to rise. "Altair will not let you win."Andhara stopped and looked at her coldly. The atmosphere in the old house was tense. Cold air seeped in through the cracks in the weathered walls. Altair and Stella could see Andhara standing holding a small blue glowing object that emitted a magical aura."Andhara," Altair growled, his voice low and threatening. "Let her go right now."Andhara gave a small smile. "Relax, Alpha. I won't hurt her-not yet, at least. You know what I need from him, right? Her bloodline is the key to the Eye of the Moon. If you're wise, you'll leave it to me."Altair stepped forward, while Stella moved to the side, preparing to attack. "You think I will let you touch her?""Then, what are you going to do?" asked Andhara, remaining calm. "I know you won't risk your Lunar's safety. You care about her too much."Enne tried to speak, but Andhara's voice cut her off. "Shut up, little Luna. You don't understand how precious you are."Altair could hold back no longer. After a long journey, Enne and Altair finally returned to their village. A large gate made of sturdy wood welcomed them, adorned with the pack crest that symbolized their strength and unity. The normally quiet village was now filled with the boisterous voices of pack members gathered to welcome home their new Alpha and Luna."Alpha! Luna!" one pack member exclaimed with a wide smile. Cheers of joy filled the air, but Enne felt that the heavy burden in his heart had not completely disappeared.Altair held Enne's hand tightly as they got off the carriage. He knew that his wife was still shaken by the events in the city. He could feel the tension emanating from her body despite Enne's face trying to mask her worry."Calm down, it's all over," Altair whispered in a soft tone in Enne's ear.Enne gave a small nod, but her gaze remained vigilant. Andhara's image still haunted her mind. Although they managed to escape the man's threat, Enne knew that the danger wasn't really over.Stella appe

That morning, Stella stood in front of the large gate of the Altair pack. The cool morning breeze swept through her flowing black hair, but her mind was not as relaxed as the morning weather. Stella knew her time here was up; she could no longer delay her return to the pack she led.As an Alpha, Stella had never shied away from her responsibilities. She knew that being a girl didn't make her role any smaller or less meaningful than any other Alpha male. But that duty also meant she couldn't be elsewhere for too long, even if she wanted to ensure the safety of her cousin, Altair, and her new Luna, Enne.Altair stood next to him, his face showing a mixture of gratitude and anxiety. "Are you sure you don't want to stay a few more days? The situation is still not completely under control," he said.Stella smiled a little, though there was firmness in her eyes. "My betas have been taking over for too long. I can't keep burdening them. They need their Alpha."Enne, who was standing by Altai

Around him, bodies lay lifelessly, the battlefield was full of screams of pain that echoed in the air.Amidst the chaos, his eyes fell on a man wearing a black hood. In his hand, a dagger gleamed red, dripping with fresh blood. His face was faint in the shadow of his hood, but the terrifying aura emanating from him made Enne tremble."You shouldn't be here," the man's voice echoed, deep and menacing. Then, without

A gray sky stretched over the Altair pack territory. Thick clouds hung low, as if pressing down on the ground with an invisible weight. The cold air reached down to the bones, carrying a faint scent of wet earth and blood.Stella waited in the meeting room, her gaze fixed on the open door. As soon as Altair stepped inside, followed by Enne, she cut in without preamble."We need to talk," she said firmly.Altair raised one eyebrow. "If this is about patrols, Stella, I've already increased the guards at the border.""That's not it." Stella gave Enne a quick glance, before looking back at Altair. "It's about Nathalie and Andhara. They are a threat to your pack. We can't ignore that fact.""Andhara is indeed an enemy," Altair admitted in a low voice. "I don't want to admit it but she had a hand in bringing back Etienne's inner wolf.""Rash decision," Stella cut in. "You should have locked them up until we really knew what they were planning. The morning air felt heavier as Enne stood at the edge of the balcony, looking up at the slowly brightening sky. His hands grasped the wooden railing, trying to find peace after the journey they had just gone through last night. However, something was bothering him-a faint whisper that had lingered in his mind since their return from the spirit world."You must go back to remember everything."The voice came again, clearer than before. Enne felt something inside him-a strange energy that he had never felt before. Ever since his inner wolf returned, there was a part of him that felt changed.Footsteps sounded from behind. She didn't need to turn her head to know who was approaching."Still thinking about last night's trip?" Altair's voice sounded low and calm, as usual.Enne nodded slowly. "It feels... like something's not right. Like something came back with us."Altair stood beside her, his eyes staring intently at the sky as if searching for answers. "I feel it too," he said. "But w

The air around them changed. The temperature dropped drastically, and a dense fog enveloped the place. Enne blinked, trying to understand where they were after the explosion of light from the moonstone. The sound of the wind blowing sounded like a whisper, slipping between the lifeless trees around them.Altair stood beside her, his breathing heavy and his jaw hardened. Nathalie as well as Andhara looked uneasy, her eyes scanning the shadows moving in the distance."We're... not in the same place," Enne murmured, her voice trembling."Definitely not," Altair replied, his voice deep and alert. "I don't like this."Suddenly, footsteps sounded from behind the mist. A tall figure in dark robes appeared, his eyes glowing silvery like the moon. He stood in front of them expressionlessly, exuding an ancient aura that gave Enne goosebumps."Welcome to the true spirit world," he said, his voice echoing through the air."Who are you?" Altair asked sharply."Someone who has been waiting for you.

  • IM THE LUNA   Chapter 71. Further Investigation

That morning, before the sun had fully risen into the sky, Enne, Altair, Andhara and Nathalie left the pack territory and began their journey towards the cave Andhara was referring to. The forest they had to pass through was darker and quieter than usual. The trees towered high, forming a thick canopy that let only a little sunlight penetrate to the ground. The air was cold, carrying the scent of wet leaves after last night's rain. Enne stared at the street below him, his mind spinning at Andhara's confession."Moonstone..." she murmured softly.Back then, the last time Andhara had kidnapped her, there was something different about the man. The look in his eyes, the way he spoke, and his aura felt more... dark. Now everything was starting to make sense. The moonstone was not just a legend, but something real and influential.Enne clenched his fists, determined. If the stone had anything to do with Lynx's disappearance, then he had to find it.Currently, they were on their way to the c

Andhara hid in the shadow of the wooden building not far from the room where Nathalie was being held. But after hearing that Nathalie was captured by Altair and brought into the pack's territory, Andhara could not stay silent. She wanted to know what happened to her partner.More than that, she wanted to make sure that Altair and Stella didn't find anything that could harm her. However, what she did not expect was to see Enne in the room, talking to Nathalie.Andhara narrowed her eyes. What was he doing there?Enne sat in a chair across from Nathalie, trying to talk to her. Her gestures suggested that she wasn't interrogating, but rather trying to understand.Andhara frowned. But she didn't have much time to analyze it further.Because in an instant, before she could realize what was happening, someone moved from behind her-and suddenly the world ar

  • IM THE LUNA   Chapter 69. Voices in the Darkness

The night wind crept into the cave where Andhara was hiding, bringing with it a chill that pierced to his bones. He leaned against the rough stone wall, his body tired after days of being directionless. His eyes stared blankly into the darkness, but his mind was much darker than that. Ever since then-since he failed to protect himself, failed to protect his inner wolf, failed to maintain control-the voices in his head had been getting more and more intense."Shut up."He pressed the sides of his head together, his fingers gripping his own hair. However, the voice did not disappear. It remained, whispering, demanding, threatening."You think you can run from me? From us?"That voice was not his inner wolf. Andhara knew. Her inner wolf was supposed to be a part of her, not an alien force lurking in the darkness, waiting for an opportunity to take control. But he couldn't hear his inner wolf anymore. Just like Enne.Damn it.He closed his eyes, trying to control her ragged breathing. He

Enne sat on the side of his bed, his hand gently rubbing the cool surface of the blanket. His mind had been wandering since the events of last night. Altair had caught him in Nathalie's room, and although he didn't get angry right away, his cold demeanor clearly showed that he didn't approve of Enne's actions. She bit her lip lightly. She knew Altair was just worried, but she could not stay silent either. Lynx was still missing, and the only person who might be able to help-Andhara-was still missing. The door to the room suddenly opened, revealing Altair standing tall with an unreadable expression. His sharp eyes scanned Enne for a few moments before he finally stepped inside and closed the door behind him."What are you thinking?" Altair's heavy voice broke the silence.Enne turned her head and looked at him. "I'm thinking about Lynx. About Andhara."Altair took a breath, then walked towards her. "And you think that talking to Nathalie will give you answers?"Enne nodded, but hesitat

Enne walked slowly along the corridor, carrying a tray of steaming hot food. Only the sound of her footsteps could be heard, echoing off the stone walls of Altair's pack house. To be honest, she was a little nervous. Altair would be furious if he found out he was taking over Jessica's duty to deliver food to Nathalie. Not because he cared whether Nathalie ate or not, but because he didn't want Enne to be in danger. But Enne felt she had to do this.Nathalie had remained silent ever since they brought her to the pack house. No answers, no resistance, not even a curse like prisoners who refused to be detained would usually utter. It was as if she had completely shut herself off from all of them. And Enne wanted to know why. When she arrived in front of the room where Nathalie was locked up, she caught her breath, then knocked gently on the door."Come in," came the voice from inside, flat and emotionless.Enne opened the door slowly. The room was quite cozy compared to the cold and damp

The sun was still hiding behind the horizon when Altair, Enne, Stella, and a few of Altair's confidants prepared to depart. The morning air was cold, but the tension between them was enough to chase away any drowsiness or laziness.Enne was wearing a light combat suit-something Stella had prepared for her. The clothes allowed for quick movement, and although still not fully accustomed to the role of a fighter, she knew that she could not rely solely on Altair's protection forever.Altair stood in front of them, his tall body like that of a leader ready to lead his troops. "We don't know what we'll face there. Andhara is cunning, and we need to be smarter than her."Everyone nodded."And you," Altair looked at Enne. "Stay by my side. Don't act rashly."Enne wanted to argue, but seeing the sharp look in Altair's eyes, she finally just nodded.Stella grinned. "Don't worry, I'll take care of her."Altair glanced at his cousin. "You'd rather cause trouble than look after someone."Stella l
